Problem restoring a custom Route

After replacing an unstable motherboard, I compared the backup file of my custom route, to the installed version in the Userdata file and found them to be the same.
The problem is that the route does not appear under the route menu, after selecting START from the launch menu.
I did not commit the route prior to interruptions, caused by the faulty motherboard, but can see the route under the Content Manager v3.6, both under the My Content and Open for Edit tabs.
Importing the "local" file and installing it results in 0 errors but with 42 warnings (all are "skipped previously installed for an open for edit asset" message).
Finally, when the route is selected and committed, a "Task Complete" window with "1 errors, 0 warnings" message appears. The error is "failed to commit changes to asset <kuid (my route number> due to a database access error.Any ideas as to prospects for recovering my route??

Try exiting from CM after importing the route, then going back and committing the route, waiting a few minutes before committing. The database might be busy with the import process, and the committing is occurring while the database is still being accessed by the import routine.

By exiting or waiting, you're giving the program a chance to catch up on the housecleaning that it does prior to the commit routine.

Thank you JCitron

I appreciate receiving your suggestion as it eliminates one more possibility. Unfortunately the symptoms remain the same.
After selecting exit from the CM, file heading, (after importing the route), two versions of your procedure were followed. After waiting about two minutes, went back in, selected the route and a) committed immediately and b) waited a few minutes and then committed.
My worst fear is the local file is somehow corrupted but can't understand why. The CM happily imports the file, indicates the commit task complete, and displays the file in the CM.
The fact that it doesn't appear in the Routes menu nor in the CM when the asset is "right mouse clicked" and the "View in" selected, the Surveyor, driver and Railyard options are "greyed out"; doesn't this mean the route has not been installed?

To close out this thread, following are the instructions and useful tips, provided by Zec Murphy, that recovered my "missing Track Profile".

First, I would recommend creating a backup of your 'local' and 'original' folder (both are found in the 'userdata' folder), so as to ensure that the data is not lost. The 'Original' folder contains items downloaded from the download station, whilst the 'local' folder contains items that you have created, or that you have modified.

Once the folders have been backed up, please try running an extended database repair in Content Manager.

To do this, first remove all items from the downloads queue, then go to 'file', and then click on 'extended database repair'. Once the repair has completed, please check to see if the route is shown in the Routes menu.
If tracks, or splines, have been replaced by the white 'dash' lines, then this means that one or more dependencies are missing, or are faulty. Please go to the 'missing dependencies' tab in Content Manager, and check if your route is listed. If it is listed, then you will need to download and install any missing dependencies. You can view a list of dependencies by selecting the asset, then right clicking on it, and going to 'view dependencies'.

Items with a red 'DLS' icon are available on the download station, and will need to be downloaded. Items with a grey '?' icon are 'unknown location', and are likely on a 3rd party website (note, you may find some items on the DLS show like this, since they have not yet been added to the Trainz Asset Database).

If an item is not on the DLS, then you will need to try searching for the kuid number on google. If you are still unable to find a missing asset, then please try asking for assistance on our forums ( http://forums.auran.com/trainz/ ).

My thanks again to Zec Murphy
