I tried to Install Service Pack 2/1 for TS2010 and it doesn't install. I don't remember what it said, but I bought this game TS2010 and it still doesn't install.

Without knowing what it said makes it harder to determine the problem, but did you try installing SP1 before SP2?

You may want to try backing up your content (if you already had some from another version of Trainz or stuff you downloaded. Then remove and reinstall TS2010 and try reapplying the Service Packs.

P.S. SP2 takes a VERY long time to install - several hours in some cases. It may even look like your computer froze up.

dont do it sp2 stuffed up on me again,it has to be at least 5 times it stuffed up on me ,just a few days ago i posted a thread about how many times it has stuffed up for everyone and a number of people said it was ok , then one or two said it maybe my hardware in the computer doing it ,nothing wrong with hardware at all ,however one thing is for sure when i install ts 2010 no problem then install sp1 no problem ,then install sp2 it stuffs up within 1 hour to a day,ITS UP TO YOU depending on what you are doing in the game

Are you sure you have the correct service pack?

you need to check that it starts from the build number of your installation (on the opening pages when you load).

If you downloaded the service pack it may be corrupted? Maybe try downloading again?

SP2 works for most users despite comments above, but as with all Trainz "upgrades" it's not without problems for some users, which is never fully explained. My installation is fine.

Did you use the autopatcher (the one within Trainz), or did you download the manual version from the Auran Announcements forum or the Trainz Service Packs page?

It looks like a corrupt download to me.

Also, did you remember to install SP3 for Windows before installing that patch?

Shane

I have windows sp3 about 3 h , and what is the autopatcher (the one within Trainz) ? soory but i played 2 years Ts 06 , and about 2 days ts 09 , i don't know anything ...soory for my english , i`m from Romania ..

The autopatcher is the box that appears if you click Yes on a box that appears when launching Trainz from the shortcut (if an update is available).

Manual patches are in the form of .exe files, which can be downloaded from http://www.auran.com/servicepacks/#TS2009 (note: make sure that the first number in the pair of numbers shown in the patch's filename matches your current build number (shown at bottom right of Launcher screen).

Also, make sure you have registered Trainz in your Auran profile - this is required for patching.

Shane

OK - can I confirm your current build number (shown at bottom right of Launcher screen), and the filename of the patch you downloaded?

Shane

It would be if your build is 37265 - if it is, that is.

Also, as I said before, you need to register your serial number (click Serial number above then follow the instructions).

Shane

Is it the same error as shown in your screenshot?

Also, as I have stated a few times, your profile does not show any registered Trainz versions.
