Are you finally going to fix the sound issues?

That is what has kept me from spending any money for the last few versions..

I am not going to pre-order, but I will purchase it by download once I see a few comments from those who can't wait.
I have been busy fixing track in surveyor that was laid by TransDem, so I've got a long way to go before I'll be ready for the features in '09.

I voted for Pre-order, hopefully the digital download will be for Pre-Order.

Will have to get the boxed version as well:hehe: , to add to my collection of TRAINZ.

Even have a UN-Opened version of UTC, which i was going to give to a friend as a surprise , BUT he beat me to it and got he's own copy.

I need more info.

I preordered 06/TC3 and was fairly disapointed esp in TC3 too many bugs.

I am waiting to find out what imorovements have been made to the "AI", as I'm fed up with the micro management required to get a reasonable amount of AI traffic without head to head clashes, reversing on a whim and taking the most peculiar routes to get to a destination (even with multiple markers supplied).

Agree on the Diamond crossing being required currently too complex to signal so I live with trains passing through trains (very Twilight Zone).

I am hoping that this edition will turn out to be the major improvement that is being touted in the forum. I am definitely looking forward to the improved graphics.

Also looking forward to seeing what route (pardon the pun) the Beta testing will take this time, I get the feeling it may be more community oriented this time.

I never have nor ever will preorder any game. I like to do a lot of research on any item I may be interested in and, I will always wait until it's been released and out for awhile first.
The forums alone hold a lot of valuable information about any said product.
I just can't justify spending money on something that doesn't exist yet. It's never a good idea to buy 'promises', you'll lose in the long run.

(Just a little advice from an old 61 year old man. I've been around awhile and, been 'ripped off' before...)

I won't buy it until I know, through reports in the forum, that the AI and sound are working properly. TC3 was supposed to improve these things over TRS06 and they ended up worse. Also I'm worried that my computer won't be able to handle the improved detail, as it already struggles with the routes in TC3.

Will pre order, but only if...

A) there is a digital download option.
B) you promise that for trainz X you will have animated switches out of the box (come on it's 2009 then and we should have had the the first part of this century :p) but seriously, those static switches are the thing that constantly make me look at other trainsims. I wan't realism, but in an easy way. Andy's switches are nice, but too much of a hassle for me. (not his fault btw)

And yes diamond crossings should be in there too as they are an integral part of european railways.

I was going to pass on Trainz 2009, but seeing what a total dissapointment and waste of time and money Railsimulator is and that Train Simulator 2 is not hear for a year....I need a new toy! :-)

It's nearly time to get your hands on Trainz Simulator 2009: World Builder Edition. What are your current thoughts on pre-ordering?

Feel free to post your comments in the thread below.

Cheers

Tony

I have the Beta version running with all my locos etc, and its looking real good !!!

You solved the problems with your cabs and such missing in the alpha then?

I am glad to see they released the beta, for some reason I thought Tony had mentioned they were hoping to get the first beta available next week.

preorder

Yes Defiately. I Can't have too many copies of trains.Since I became an addict, I've saved thousands on buying other useless games hoping that they would keep my interest.

Cabs solved, a very minor bug

Alphas solved, many changes, but done in 5 mins

This WILL be the best sim around, it looks so great in game, textures, 3D mapping, increased poly counts etc, and so many new features ...

Jeez I could even drive a loco, and chat (via Trainz ichat, in cab) to someone in Australia, and teach him to drive at the same time, WOW it bends the mind ...
