Portals and saving a session

I have a portal on my route that is supposed to produce a train every 2 hours. If i run the session for 1 hour, save it, then load it up again, does the portals timer start over, or will it produce a train in an hour?

Each time you load a route the settings for the portal are activated. If yours is set to discharge a train every 2 hours and you play for 1 hour and 55 minutes before saving a quiting the next time you load you will have to wait 2 hours from the time that you re-loaded the session for a train to be generated by the portal

Yes, as Andy says, they reset.

However, there is a rule, "Central Portal Control", that emits a consist immediatley at start.

I believe that some of the alternative portals can be configured to do the same.

Well, thanks for the replies. And yes phil, i have the central portal control rule, emitting a train right from the start isnt the problem, I have 3 portals kicking trains out at different intervals but if they reset the clock as it were everytime you reload, then i would be better off having an out of site staging track. And of course that would require industries for the freight trains that that are coming onto and off of the route. Unless someone has an idea that I havent thought of.
