I am thinking of purchasing this route, but I am not sure if it will run ok with
Trainz 2019. Does anyone have any helpful information before I purchase.

The short answer is no. It can be done after a lot of work and asset fixing, but many of the scripts essential to make it work will be broken. You might have more luck trying to get it to work in TANE.

I was going to download it for missing assets on DLS but it would seem it's not worth it.

Mark, it's still useful for assets that aren't available anywhere else and that's what I mostly use it for in TRS19. I got it to work in TANE SP3, - though never tried it in TANE SP4. And of course it works fine in TS2012 if you still have a copy of that installed.

If you can get it all working in T:ANE, with the exception of the built in sessions, which won't work in T:ANE, it's more or less good to go in TRS2019. Here's quite an old shot of PLL from TRS2019:
