Patch not applied

Recently when runing TS2009 a pop-up appeared lnviting me to apply a patch. I said YES and after about 30 min was told the patch had failed to apply. I tried three times before giving up.

Any one had the same problem?

Bill.

Bill,

The patch has only just been released so not many people will have tried to apply it yet.

What build number are you trying to upgrade from?

Chris

It's visible on the screen during the patch attempt.

Since I also suffers from no-autopatch syndrome I can provide the info:

-----------------------------------
Ready to install from local patch file.
Current version: 37625.
Target version: 40040.

Checking for available disk space for patching.
Patching from 37625 to 40040.
Unable to extract the patch data from this patch file.
Patching aborted.
-------------------------------------

The autopatcher installed itself in a temporary directory, found the target directory and promptly went belly up. The manual patch did the same, which is why I did a backup of the "Local" folder and followed through with a clean install - hence the 37625-40040 patch - but to no avail.

I did try the the 37625-38017 patch with a step-by-step approach in mind but the result was the same.

I even tried to fire up my XP SP3 in safe mode to see if that helped, but that did not help either.

At present the I keep the TS2009 folder in C:\Auran\TS2009
Tried with the folder in C:\Program filesAuran\TS2009 as well with the same results.

I have 10 GB free on my C:\ drive and that should be suffient to be able to patch. To ensure safe download I use Free Download Manager.

So in short I am just as stuck as Billegulla.

Thanks :-)

This error indicates that the patch installer was unable to "unzip" the patch data for some reason. This may be caused by a corrupted download, but it's also feasible that there's something else going wrong. Have you tried booting into windows safe mode and patching from there?

thx,

chris

After the first patch failure this is what I get on either auto or manual patch attempts.

This patch file is not applicable to your current installation version.
