Online Patch installation failed: installation data checksum mismatch

I went to install the new patch and I get this appears after downloading the patch:
installation failed: installation data checksum mismatch
I try installing the patch again and I get the same result.
Can someone help me out?

Usually this means that something in the installation folder has been changed (either manually by you or possibly by a 3rd party program such as your anti-virus software). The patcher therefore doesn't recognize the install.

If a retry produces the same result, and you can't identify what's changed, then the only solution is to reinstall (by redownloading from MyTrainz if you don't have a backup of the orginal download).

Do you mean redownloading and reinstalling Trainz 2019?

You shouldn't have to.

Reinstalling the program is separate from redownloading content.

Before you do anything, take note of where your content is located. If you have it in a folder of of your choice, it's easier like D:/TRS2019_DATA or something.

Reinstall and take the defaults let it do its thing.

When done installing:

Go into the Install tab and redirect the install path to your own data folder by clicking on the .. in the lower right corner of the path-space.

Browse for the folder, and click the open button. (I think because I'm not at my Trainzing computer) and close the window.

You'll get a quick database dialog of rebuilding translations, or something like that, and you'll have to restart. After that you should be all set. Just check your settings to ensure everything is all set.

There's nothing about a patch in MyTrainz. Plus I'm having a hard time understanding your post. I thought it was because I was just tired last night, but this morning I still don't understand it. I'm confused as to what you mean about this where my content is located stuff. However, I've got multiple files for all the stuff I've downloaded for Trainz over the years.

Successfully Downloaded and Installed! Here's how I did it.

I simply did control+alt+delete, selected my antivirus program, and selected 'end task'. After shutting down the program I tried patching TRS2019 again. And this time it worked! So if you are having the same problem, simply try this before going any further.

Which AV program? In case it's specific to one in particular.

First this is mute now for your current situation, however, I can explain a bit more for future reference.

T:ANE and up, meaning TRS19 and whatever comes afterwards puts the content, aka your Trainz data, in another location besides the program unlike how it was with TS12 and below.

If you were to go to My Trainz and digital downloads, you can redownload TRS19, T:ANE and TS12 if you purchased it that way.

With that said, you can reinstall the program without touching your data because as I said your data is placed in another location, and the installer will want to create its own data folder. Let it do its thing as it's a new install.

So keep this for future reference:

By default, the data folders are kept in C:/users/{login name}/app data/N3V Games/TRS2019. The data folders appear as Build-somthing. The -something is that sequence of letters and numbers.

After the install
go into the Install tab and reconnect to your data folder by replacing that one with your folder.

To reconnect, click on the ... in the right corner of the installed path screen. Browse to your Users/username/app data/N3V Games/TRS2019 folder and open a folder in there other than the one you are already connected to. It helps to change the view to details in the window to show the creation dates. Use the one from yesterday if it's there.

Once you swap folders, you should log in but will run a quick database.

You will need to restart the program again after this.

Using this procedure, you will not lose any installed content, and you can even move your data to another locations such as your D: drive if you have one. I for example, put mine in E:\TRS2019_DATA. This ensures there's not only plenty of space for the data, but it removes it from the boot drive which is more apt to be wiped, and then everything is lost.

Malwarebytes Anti-malware.

That figures, it's getting more and more intrusive since they started acquiring other programs and incorporating them in Malwarebytes, you should be able to exclude your TRS19 folder from malwarebytes interfering in settings. I did so here some time ago.

I also can't patch due to a checksum mismatch.
Error message> Checksum mismatch on G:\Trainz Railroad Simulator 2019\resources\builtin\46472d\content\kuid2 661281 44183 2 (expected ab62638514edf4e9566ab91117356e552 tzarc), found
The problem item is TRS19 Trk Jarrah 3 Rusty Library (mesh) BUILTIN. This is an auran built in so how did it get mismatched ?????????????
How do I fix this?????

Might want to check it hasn't become modified in Manage Content, if it has revert to original.
If not that then may be file corruption, could be a drive issue or maybe a bad shutdown might want to check your drive in case there is a problem, unless you have a backup of your whole install, not much you can do other than re-install.
