Online maps displaying rails as roads

I just noticed a few of the online map services, Yahoo, MapQuest and Google, show some rails as roads when using map mode compared to aerial mode. I was looking at Victor, New York, USA where the Ontario Central goes through and there is a part by Maple Ave., Highway 444 that shows a street curving West then Southwest from the ONCT, reaches a line just south then curves back to a dead end. Only it is not a street, it is a line that comes off the ONCT that goes to Victor Insulators. Has anyone noticed other similar errors?
And which one has the most up to date Aerial view? MapQuest seems to have the lowest resolution. Yahoo looks almost as good as Google, but Google shows a different picture than the other 2. Using the same area mentioned above, Google shows some areas of brown vegitation while Mapquest and Yahoo show all green.

i have noticed the same here in the UK
the BETA release of Yahoo maps shows many railway lines that have been closed since the 1960's Beeching era as still in use (i.e. not disused etc)
i have been in touch with at least 3 companies who supply the information and Yahoo themselves and have got quite good responses from them about incorrect info and that the maps etc would be corrected upon full release of Yahoo maps.
i hve beeen rather busy of late so havent had time to go back and check so i will have to do so.
when i looked there was a button or something to email them with any update info i am glad i am not alone in finding these things as inccurate maps is one of my pet hates!

Intentional Errors

Don't know if they still do, but before online maps became common, some companies would put intentional errors in thier maps so they could prove copy-right infringment. Never anything major, just a misspelled name or a road ending a sooner then it should, etc.

depending on what part your talking about Storknest, i know Victor, like the back of my hand(i have been there, and thru, millions of times)
There is one area, where the ONCT stops, completely, and is phased out by a factory. i know htis because the ONCT, is, the original LVRR mainline. That is why Lehigh Station Road is called that in Henriatta, because of it being near the location, of, the Lehigh Valley RR station.

On my GPS software it lists some railway lines that are still in regular use but really aren't (either having been abandoned, are museum railways, or former industry), it also shows some branch lines that have been closed since the 70's and one part of a line that was demolished years ago! Cartographical inaccuracy, how annoying.
