Ongoing Investigation: SP6 Route Performance & Redraw Issues

This morning I've done my own investigation on the route I've been experiencing the issues the most.

1) I removed all the passengers from the trains and stations (since N3V blames us for using not optimized content, but they created quite heavy passenger assets by the way).
In this case nothing changed.

2) I created session with NO AI trains. And guess what? It's shuddering much less and the objects stopped blinking - they reveal completely with no issues.

It makes me conclude that AI trains take to much resources of the game.
I've sent it to N3V support.

Wow, so many people with problems.... so many people with problems unwilling to work with N3V to help solve them.
I help N3V by purchasing the yearly 'Trainz Plus Gold' subscription (so financially) so they can hire more staff or use that money to improve the game. I also test the beta's that can be downloaded as part of the 'Trainz Plus Gold' yearly subscription, so I feel that is my help to them.

SP6 should not have been released especially because of the Treez. I don't believe that they are anywhere near ready for prime time. I'm pretty sure I read on here somewhere that the new Treez don't move in the wind. If that is true (which it may not be), is another feature that we will be losing.

What do you mean? People posting examples of problems, just like N3V asked.

I'm willing to help. I asked if I can send some Routes to the devs via e-mail, and nobody responded yet.
Posting in this forum is NOT what they asked for. They said open a helpdesk ticket and post images in that ticket and share files through files sharing sites. That is the way it has always been. Everyone at N3V can access helpdesk tickets. That is the easiest way for them to make sure the right people see the issues. Emails get lost in mailboxes.

Yep, it is easy to complain rather than be part of the solution.
I would rather see the postpone of the Trainz imposter stuff
There is nothing wrong with the imposter system and it is not connected to the Treez Foliage System. The Plant Factory trees are replacement for SpeedTrees. While they will work within the Treez Foliage System they are not the same thing. And for the record, all three of these new systems have been thoroughly tested in the Trainz Plus betas by hundreds of users with none of these problems.

The issue here is N3V made the mistake of being generous by trying to include these new wonderful and very much need improvements in the TRS22 product line with no testing by TRS22 users. They should have called development of TRS22 done with SP5 HF1 and never touch it again.

Okay, I'll try using the helpdesk ticket form. I mostly used it to send smaller bugs that were easy to explain and reproduce. I just feel like sending the whole routes with sessions and dependencies with explaining all the times where issues happen is a lot more comfortable in a carefully arranged e-mail, but I got you, if that's where they'll definitely listen, then I'll try using helpdesk.

I installed a brand new TRS22 (PE) build: 131986 from My Trainz.I then downloaded the Maschen marshalling yard from DLS. The result:

70908-2d281fc7f1505132dad85901f5b33400b863b8ac46a796593fdffa3f51c17654-variant.webp

Here's the comparison from build 129876
The settings are the same!!!

All updates released after 129876 cause these problems.
The only ones not affected are built-in and payware (free) tracks; everything works fine there.
Conclusion: Custom tracks only work up to update 129876!!

One thing I found out interesting is if you push your settings (both Trainz Launcher and in-game) to maximum (even trees), the performance actually improves at times. The game starts to load GPU more with higher settings. It helps if you have a really strong PC. People with not so expensive hardware get screwed because lowering down settings means GPU will not be loading properly so it's a lose-lose situation for them.

I remember something like that started to happen in TRS19 SP2 (I think, or SP1), I guess that was fixed later.

Tried this. Yes, it helps a bit, but crazy shuddering persists even so.

Filling out a Bug Report or, possibly, raising a support ticket (but I have never done that when reporting a problem) will give the developers a lot more useful information to work with (on any issue) than making a vague post here.

While posting about a problem in these forums and, in some cases, venting your spleen which may make you feel better will rarely (if ever) result in a fix.

Its the details that the majority of forum posts tend to lack that make the difference.
