Get over it
I've been enjoying myself lately upgrading roymac's Western Pacific Railway. What I mean by upgrading is using the newer items that are available now that were not there when he made it. I changed the track, some bridges, added/changed some industries and since I wanted two way traffic I had to change the signals somewhat. I would love to merge this route with the King Mountain route. I'm still figuring out a way to do it. Hope these screenies do this route justice.

I have more if anyone is interested.

Are you planning to get permission to release this. Because I would really like to see this route on my trainz.

Hi Matt,

Not to worry. I will give permission for its release once it is done and if he wants to upload it. The only thing I ask of anyone who wants to alter my route(s) is that they acknowledge that I am the original creator. Other than that, they can change anything they wish. I look forward to some more screenshots as he progresses.

Thanks roymac. I'll get some more screens uploaded later. Before I upload this route I want to make sure that everything works the way it's suppose to so it may take some time. Before I do I'll let you know.

roymac, i would be remiss if i didn't mention what a nice job you did with the scenery. a lot of thought went into your detailing. i didn't change anything, just added some shrubs and grass. some new things and some original things.

more to follow

...thanks for the kind words. Your progress looks really good. I am glad you enjoy the route. Like you, I am also making changes to it to bring in some of the 'new stuff' that is available now. I will be posting some screenshots later. Like most projects it takes some time to do a good job but it is worth it in the end. :)

it will be interesting to see what changes you make compared to the changes/updates that i did. i will be looking for your screenshots.

Is this for TS2009 ?? Some of us haven't got that yet, I'm waiting for TS2010, but, won't get that until Christmas.....

The screenshots look mighty impressive anyhow, you've done a grand job on this......

...the route was originally done with TRS2004. I played with 2009 when Auran brought out a 'trial version' and it worked fine for me. However, there may be others who can tell you more about how well it works in newer versions.

Hello Sir,

Yes, I remember the route from back in the TRS2004 days, it was a lovely little layout.....Has stouthm "reskinned" it using TRS2009 though, was my question really, 'cos, if he has then those of us who haven't got that version ( including me ) will have to wait until TS2010 comes out.....

Sorry, I haven't been back to this thread for awhile. The answer to the question: I run 06 and that's where all the changes have taken place. I finally merged the two routes, Western Pacific Railroad and King Mountain V2, and have been working on the merged route off and on. If I don't upload it now then I never will because I keep adding things and finding other things that I think I could change so I better do it now. I will contact both Roymac and ESO to get their permission and upload it shortly. Thanks for your kind words and interest.

...if you want to upload it, you have my permission. The route looks good and I hope you continue to enjoy it.

The new route, "Western Pacific King" has been approved and should be up shortly. Unfortunately there are a number of missing items that are not on the dls. Sorry about that. Let me know what you need and I will try to provide either the items or the site where I got them. I do not like hunting for missing items myself so I will do my best for you.

One suggestion, if you do stay with the route you might want to get a map. It sure helps me. I would have provided one but I didn't know how. I use TrainzMap.

I received the message from Auran that items were missing but after checking them out they aren't missing, just renamed by me so that I can find things faster. Hopefully they should all be there. Let me know please.
