OK, I give up -- patching 2010

I'm pretty experienced with computer software, but after installing TS 2010 upon bringing it home from the store I purchased the Blue Comet addon, and was told upon trying to install THAT that my version needed to be updated.

Fair enough -- I went to the service pack section of auran.com and was met with a massive variety of MANUALLY installable downloads. I've tried most of them, follow the path of C:/ProgramFiles(x86)/Auran/TS2010/Trainz and NONE OF THEM WORK.

Do I have the pathway wrong? Which service pack do I start with, and how do I find out what version my retail disc is?

Customer service has been useless from this company to date -- five days later I asked them these questions and not a peep. If I can't get some kind of response from them, it will be a coaster, and they'll get subterranean reviews for their game from me.

Sure, what version (build) of Trainz do you have? Start the game and look in the lower right corner.

I would suggest a clean instal of 2010 as you may have damaged files after trying different patches. Install 2010 and launch. the bottom right will show the build number you have. Download the patches from your build to 43434 and 43434 to 44088. These I found work best. Put them on your HD but not in the auran folder. Double click on the first it should then find your version and update, then do the same with the second patch. It may seem to stop in the middle and may say not responding. Dont touch it as it is altering the .ja files and can tskr a long time. The patch path should be the drive you installed trainz on then auran/2010, dont put trainz on the end it only wants the 2010 folder.
