Often there is a snag with downloading

I have TRS2009 installed and can't seem to install many UK trains via the Download Station or Download Helper, even with dependencies included. It will say in the description of whatever I am downloading is compatible with TRS2009, but often 'Content is invalid' comes up. Do I need anything additional installed for it to work?

I would advise you update that.

The first patch is available from Just Trains's site - http://updates.justflight.info/jt/TRS2009/Trainz2009Update.exe
The subsequent ones are available from http://www.auran.com/servicepacks - you may need to update your DirectX version in order to install the 40040 to 41844 patch.

The patches must be installed in order, so in your case it's 38869 > 40040 > 41844 > 44653. Also make sure that no part of Trainz is running.

One final bit of advice. When build 44653 is installed, you will have to wait a few minutes after closing Trainz before shutting down your system.

Currently I am downloading 38599 to 40040. And I think my Direct X update is already installed.

How do I run each one at a time?

Easiest way of doing that is to run the first patch, then run the second patch once the first one is completed, and so on.
