"OF STEAM AND SAIL!"

The interactive docks are getting closer, and should be entering the testing phase any time now. They now support passengers, mail, baggage, and general goods. Products will unload off a train, then load onto a ship, or vice-versa:
Here's a train approaching the empty dock:

The train stops, and unloads it's products onto the dock:

The ship approaches the dock:

The ship docks

And unloads the cargo in it's hold, and loads the majority of the cargo on the dock (need a bigger ship :) )

A big thanks Vulcan for the use of his dock model, and to Peter Dehnert, whose extended passenger scripts formed the base of this facility!!

TRAINZ goes to WARZ!........(Could this be the first ever recorded Battle in Trainz?)
.........................................................
The first shot was fired at the English ship Royal Sovereign at noon. This salute of iron was received in silence by the Royal Sovereign, who waited until she had drawn astern of the Spanish three-decket, Santa Anna, then raked her decks with a murderous fire that killed or wounded 400 of her crew.
In the meantime, Nelson´s ship was moving on, silent and intent, searching for the French admiral´s

time period for our efforts ????

Am greatly enjoying this new way for us.

Hi all, So is it agreed,, we will concentrate on the waterfront and maritime aspect time period

say 1830 (start of so called railroads) to 1910? ( when trucks and air started their reign) through this period there were many innovations at sea, but on shore,, the horse still remained supreme, and heavy traffic was still by the iron horse.

If I am wrong,, can you let me know what was decided?

thanks all

1830 to 1920ish...........

;)

Thats pretty much right Whec......I think Curtis likes his O'l West stuff and I are concentrating on the time period from 1830 ish to 1930 The Clippership / Steamclipper era and a few old freighters like your 3 island tramp to go with my QR content......on the Australian Dock side of things
the warships in the pics are just toys I get carried away with But I need a Navy for the Time Period...:D and the horses we plan on modifying some of Elvenors wagons to carry passangers and goods to interact with the dock....say Mike you wouldnt have a old 1920's truck mesh lying around..IDEA I could convert to driveable to carry goods to and from the docks ? Food for thought?....................................................Pencil's latest script works a treat!!! everyone loads unloads goods appear people appear Nice one Curtis ;) .........The whole thing is now comming togeather .......We need to get a few of your fine ships set up ........

Inspired by Whec's "Lady is a Tramp" I attacked Pencils Steam Scooner LOL! Ripped it apart and created a Tramp'ish looking Steamer ready for both ERA's both ships load at the Docks visable passangers and Baggage on deck and the Tramp has see through hold covers so you can see the loaded cargo in the hold ..............

G'day Mike,

Good on yer, matie!.......:D

So then, I suppose (less dangerous than assuming..:)..)
that the same may be applied to the PS "E...L..."...???...!:)!
But there's a war looming right now, & sacrifices must be made by all,
for the goot off derr farterland...er....Mother England, wot?

So I'll just be quiet now, & wait patiently whilst these amazing vessels
of the deep blue (& not-so-deep murky brown) waters continue
to astound
us land-lubberz, in their prow...ess, stern...ness of jibe (oops!...jib),
masterfull-ness of mast-laden billowing sail, & roar of cannon!.
As they 'go about' their pier - less Endeavour
of protecting the ladies of the night trade.....er....steamerz
.........:D:p:);)

God Bless yea, merry gentlemen, one & haul
