Hi - I gave up on Trainz, a few years ago now I think, with the horse drawn canal boats with sceneries for 2004 version and my maritime trainz sceneries.

However looking at the images hard to tell that the images are not from a sailing simulator and some nice content.

My content changed to making satellite sceneries and content with Blender for the Stentec sail simulators as below c 1800.

but similar in my sceneries on DS for 2004 for canals and horse drawn canal boats, etc.

Think I lost the plot with Trainz a few years back but only Trainz seems to have the variable water height for canals and locks, etc and interavtive functions.

Perhaps if I see a version of Trainz classics on sale in shops in UK may pick up a version and dabble in canal networks and horse drawn canal boats again c 1800.

P.S. No apologies for spelling errors as working on half a clear screen with a poorly graphics card

Has the Titanic Horn sound changed yet Dreddman? the Horn sound for now gets a little annoying when docking :)
never mind reread the last part! it still needs propellers though :hehe:

Mark email sent and thanks.

Need to bring Liverpool docks to life for 1830 or thereabouts. Last route on download station.
So considering getting 2004 trainz again.
Liverpool docks c1830 for stentec sail sim and similar on Trainz DS plus "stiff legged" horse drawn canal boats on small sections at Ellesmere Port, Shropshire Union canal and on Leeds and Liverpool canal at Liverpool on DS.
Blender content this one but can export then import and retexture in gmax for trainz from saved blend files. If I can remember how to use gmax.

Sorry Guys, the steamers look like having to much draft.

Hi FSP,

These two steamers are riverboat paddle-steamers, found at Echuca on the Victorian/NSW border; upon the mighty Murray River.
As with many areas of the world, before the advent of steam-trains rivers were used extensively for nearly all forms of commerce, & much passenger transportation.
Echuca at one time was a huge inland port, so it is 'fitting' that the "Port of Echuca Precinct" is now home to the largest collection of operating paddle-steamers ("PS" & "MV") in the world.

During the 'hey-day' of these steamers, they plied many hundreds of miles along basically three main river systems; The Murray, Darling & Murrumbidgee rivers. (Please correct me if I've missed any!!)
Often racing against the lowering water levels of these river systems, they were, of necessity, very shallow-draught vessels. ie flat-bottomed riverboats.
Vessels of deeper 'below-water' protrusion (I forgot the word!) would be able to navigate upstream during floodtimes, but stood little chance of making it back downstream before the levels dropped, & thus stranding them.

Don't they look terrific! :)
