"OF STEAM AND SAIL!"

In the wild Wild West(WWW.) :D .........In my research updating the Great Elvenors wagons I created a invisable "wagon spacer" Hence "WAGONTRAINZ!!"...........................................as thet carry goods and passangers they can deliver to the docks or stations/depots Luckly they had a Cavalry escort in the WWW ;) and the Warships HMS Warrior and Hornblower just happened to be in port proceting the Trainz sealinez

I try to make Trainz interesting

Hi dreddman,

Where did you find that gravel road!!???.
It's so cool!. (yes I do like the saily-things too...:)...a lot).
May I ask good sir, if you please, the kuid # of the afore-mentioned carriageway?.

Are you aware that there's already invisible spacers of different lengths, available (from the DLS I think)?

I just love the screen-grabs & vignettes you assemble for us lubberz.
The quality of work, witt & wisdom stymies the mind!.
Please keep it up. Great stuff everyone......:D

Dred, you have the greatest late 1800's empire I have ever seen

great work, you should consider looking into some sailing simulators, i can think of a place where those ships would be very happily welcomed, this message goes to all modelers who put their work into this thread, really guys, great job, my favorite era

If I'm not totally mistaken it is the road Elvenor made to go with his horses stuff - kuid 63290:38104

Lovely stuff Dreddman!

Best wishes

Linda

Hi Linda,

Thanks for that kuid #

How are you going & what are you up to these days?.
Are you working on any layout/content/etc?.
Or just enjoying all this amazing Trainzer creativity,
by these skilled & generous people?.
:)

Thats it Linda I matched the updated wagons to the road and the horses ect as the br main is below 0 for the road ad the rise and fall of the hips Verry creative I have in the config Elvenors kuid prefex and his licence for full Respect For all his wagons I have left the textures everything the same just added att points re exported new config it is his work updated ......................everything else is hacked by me ;) ..
As far as the cavalry goes I will be doing a Confederate Cavalary and a generic Blue Like the red the flags can be changed by replacing the flag tga I was thinking of a dock version delivering cannonballs to the warships............. Anything is possible in Trainz 1800ish Classics

Your welcome Noel :)

Me, I'm doing - well, I'm alive, thats something. :)
Not doing much Trainz wise, a dribble now and then (old time stuff still) and get some urges ones in a while when threads like this gets updated/posted. ;)

It's amazing to see what can come out of the creative minds of people, I feel I can't "combete" with that as all I can do is bang some boxes together and put some large nice textures on them. :p

Anyway, thanks for asking, nice to see I'm not totally forgotten yet. :D

Best wishes always

Linda

You? Can't compete? Ha! You are an inspiration to us all - I only hope to be able to make content as nice as yours some day :)

Heya Dreddman,

With lots of patience I've watched the screenshot section for the last 4 weeks. Should he have posted extra screenies or better would he have released these great and very usefull additions? Mmmm I just love those 18th century tall-ships. Just hope your fantasy has not dried out or even worse this whole project is down the drain.

regards,

Sorry for the delay, but the transfer dock is now on the DLS.
This dock is intended for transferring cargo between ships and road / rail. It does not create or consume producs; it merely hols products until they are picked up.
For example, a train can unload passengers at the dock. the passengers will wait for a ship to arrive, then load onto that ship (if the ship supports passengers). Likewise, cargo can be unloaded from a ship, and it will wait for a train or road vehicle (truck / wagon) to load it.

Here's a picture in surveyor:
docks.jpg

From upper-left to lower right, there are 4 tracks.
1: road track
2: rail track
3: ship track at 3m above sea level. This supports the majority of newer ships, and is built to Vulcan's new standard.
4: ship track at sea level. This will support Whecsailor's ships, and any others that run on sea level track.

Note that the road and rail cannot transfer between each-other; only to / from the ship tracks.

I want to thank Vulcan for the textures and dock spline models that this dock was built from, and Peter Dehnert for his extended passenger script, which formed the base for the industry scripting.

Vulcan's dock wall splines match this dock, and can be used to finish the edges or make other adjustments.

Enjoy, and let me know if you run into any problems.

may as well let the cat out of the bag, hey noel. (the dried up river is an aussie thing) we are having a drought anyway both the steamers are complete just making a couple of barges for them to tow. These are set up at water level -3 metres at the moment, with the track set at -10 metres

This is my 4th attempt at a ship. This particular one is one of 3 built by Smit in Rotterdam. They were partially finished in 1940 and seconded into the pink navy when they found them while on holidays in orange navy territory.

This one the K3 was the only one to survive the holiday and was reclaimed by the orange navy in 1946 and served till she was decommissioned in 1960. She served under the name of Van Speijk. It is a sloop/gunboat. Big history for a small ship. lots more to do yet.
