Obtrusive big fat R/G junction arrows

I have often thought about, why can't the 2 positions of the big fat obtrusive R/G junction arrows make a changeable black line down the inside of the points, making it seem like the points are open, to the left, or to the right ?

Frogs do this, and place a black line, masking out the rail at the frog junctions ... this would be allot easier than progressive junctions
