NZ pics

Hi James934<

Not so far as I know. I did try to make some but due to the differing design on each end of the carraige it is not possible with any suitable coaches. It reqires a total remapping of the Gmax file.

Cheers,

Nice shots guys and Nzld your Wellington route looks great.
As The driver of Fright train 221 noticed a problem with the Dc at Pukerua Bay, It wasn't before the train came into Paekakariki that the Dc broke down.
Blocking the upmain, All suburban trains had the use the downmain as shown below, thank goodness it didn't happen on Paekakariki bank.

At the time, Da1431 was doing some shunting work around the yard.
Steam Inc gets a call from kiwirail and Da1431's off to the rescue.

On the road again, Da1431 leads 221 fright to palmerston north.

In the cab, We see a Wellington bound service, The same one that passed us at Paekakariki.

I'll have to scan them first, as they are contained within two locally-produced books (one is long since out of print): Bill Gray and Andrew May's A History of WAGR Passenger Carriages, and John Krietling's Perth Electric ~ A New Era, but it shouldn't be too much trouble. :D

A word of warning though - the plans are of their original Westrail/Transperth form, not their current rebuilt Maxx format (this is especially true for the ADK/ADB sets), so just be aware of this. Also sadly the ADK/ADB drawings seem to lack end elevations on the plans. But with the basic dimensions it shouldn't be too hard to determine with photographic reference.

I've got the KR services group diagrams here in pdf form - although they are probably the same ones Enkidoh is referring to. Cam PM me your email & i'll flick them over to you. Good luck with your project!

Ongarue route update

Somewhere north of Taumaranui, but where is the train? They say if you put your ear to the rail, you can hear it coming - but beware, if it sounds close and the ground is rumbling, then get out of there fast!

cvkiwi,
Thanks for your kind comments. The route is freeware, but you will require Sirgibby's payware textures and cliff spline packs, or better still do you have Murchison 2 - this will give you most of the dependancies (Trainzone) Also, I see your "point" about the point levers. I have never given them any thought, just using the default Auran levers, but I think you can change them after you have downloaded the route - I have never tried it myself, but some one may know. The Climax Loco in my pics is the updated version for TRS10 and TS12. Available on the DLS. The older version will not show up in TS10 or TS12.

Geddes, Callum,
You have reminded me - I will update my older deisels to have LocoStart, including the Vulcan and Drewry railcars and new DL loco.

Cheers,
Fender :)

I've scanned both the ADK/ADB and ADL/ADC set plans from Perth Electric as promised, so if anyone wants them I can make them available by way of Rapidshare. Othewise, like you Rugrat if Cam can PM me his email address I can get them to him right away. :)

EDIT: by chance I happened to mention this to my brother who came into possession of a photocopy of an old Comeng trade advert circa 1968 for the ADK class which features more detailed line drawings than what I scanned, and even included end elevations of the car as well. He gave me a copy of this file so I'll include this with my earlier scans. :)

I would be very interested. I have never looked at the iPad version at all to be honest. What does route building on the iPad entail as opposed to normal?

ADB.jpg

This is what i have after 2 hours work on the ADK/ ADB set. It also has a basic interior.
At this point i will split it into 2 models, 1 being the modern variant in Auckland, the other being the older Australian versons and early NZ versions.
Lot of work ahead of me. Hahaha :D

Hi Fender
Thanks for responding How far away do you think your new route is from being finished?
Also do you have any DJ loco's that well run in TRS2012?

I am also looking for some LA wagons that well work in TRS2012
By the way I love the New DA locos you built I come home from work and go for a ride picking up coal wagon
and I use cabe mode
I turn up the volume on the speakers and start the loco and my wife goes nuts

I thank you again for this new toy as it brings back a lot of child hood mems for me
M y dad use to work for the Railways as a shunter and a guard He use to put me up in the loco with the driver and the driver use to show me how the drive them and just let me go for it (heeps good fun)

Wow! That looks excellent! I'm glad the plans I provided are being put to good use. Good work on the ADB so far Cam! Can't wait to see how it turns out (along with the ADK, and ADL/ADCs too).:D

As for that ADK advert I mentioned in my earlier post, I've discovered a slight snag, in the fact that whoever scanned them scanned them at such a high resolution they're nearly 10 mb in size each! I also appear to be having some problems accessing my Mediafire account where I had planned on uploading them to, so I think I'm just going to reduce the advert plans down in size considerably (they include end elevation drawings which the earlier drawings I provided lacked). I'm really sorry for this problem guys.

When would you finsh?? Because I'm doing the Auckland Line and there are no locos or carriges For Aucklnad. This would be great for this Project

Steady on there! I only just emailed him the plans the other day! :p Cam has barely just started on them - give him some time!

Seriously though, I imagine it will be a quite a while yet before they're available (especially with the different livery variations the cars have carried both in WA and NZ service to do).

I'm not having a go at you, just have patience - as the old saying goes: "Good things come to those who wait longer." ;)
