I just wanted to say to everybody who is working on these NYCTA stations and tunnels to keep it up because ya'll are doing a great job. Expecially acjelade for NYCTA station. Currently I am making a whole lot of SEPTA material and currently creating the Broad Street Line.
I'm also am making the NYCTA r40m,r40s,r68,r38, and r44.
Try not to overwork yourself on all of those cars. Jeff Morris has re-created all of those cars already, and his TS2009 and up re-releases are actually pretty good. From what I understand, ExpressLine3Train is already working on the R40M/R42, so I wouldn't do that right now. Thanks for the kind comments!
Oh, and as a word of advice to all, don't overuse these stations, especially for the newer developers who have questions to ask and have no idea what they're working with. If you're gonna make a subway route, don't start off with one idea, and then get a billion more ideas. Make your first, or next project your best, and do not start a development thread if you know you're not gonna be committed to completing it.
The NYCTA mega pack is looking at a completion of about 53%. Once I get situated into my new area and ship up my laptop, I'll get back to work on my parts of the project, and I can assure you, there will be no more pauses, unless utterly necessary.
Glad to see you back sir! It's nice not to have to run operations all alone anymore :hehe:
I need and i can say it, thats stations are great, really great.
Good work Acelejalde,i don´t know the NYC subway, but now i can make my own
"Metro" of Madrid system, in NYCTA style(this is a game,or not?)
the stations are perfect for make stations on curve like the "Chamberí" station,
now semi-abandoned ,or NYCTA South Ferry loop,City Hall loop.
you are an artist. Thanks for your hard work
An artist? This is one of the highest compliments I've received, thank you! I still haven't figured out the radii of the South Ferry & City Hall loops. IIRC, on the NYC Subway Route thread here, Jeff Morris explains where he got that information from. Stations like that would be static objects, and not splines. I am thinking about tackling those stations, as well as the 42 St shuttle stations, which are also irregular.
Again, thanks for your kind words! I just took action into my own hands, seeing a lack of NYCTA content since Magicland left, and I was tired of sitting around waiting and decided to create! It wasn't easy, and I still get hung up on some things--but I'm a firm believer in trying and trying until you get it just right (hence the stations taking six months to complete).
I tried out the stations. They worked beautifully. The only question I have is if there are any track that are designed to fit the stations. I tried using Alterr's tunnels, but there a bit wide. Much appreciate it if you could help me figure out a solution to this problem. Also, I got trainz12 for my birthday yesterday, and jeffmorris i'm looking forward to trying out your route.
Cheers,
Eric
By track, you mean tunnels? Right now the NYCTA Tunnels Pack is under development, headed by ExpressLine3Train. Last I heard, he has submitted the tunnels to BStyles for error checking, and once that is done, I should receive a copy for another thorough inspection. So, at this moment, the closest tunnels that match up with my stations are mcq's "U-Bahn" subway tunnels, which are featured in the bulk of my route. I did try Alterr's tunnels awhile back, and they didn't work for me either, however I use them for my Upper East River crossings (Lexington from 125-138, 42 St/53 St/60 St/63 St tunnels, and the tunnel from Lenox Av to Grand Concourse).
As always, we'll keep you posted. If you would like the .cdp file I have of the U-Bahn tunnels instead of deciphering all the German on the DLS, let me know and I can email it.

P.S. The next post features some Sea Beach action!
