NYCTA! pics!

The release date must be close! :D I really can't wait to see these stations and use them, it's the one piece of the puzzle that's a must have for the re-release of my Kennedy Island layout. There will be a renaming of the route, now called Kennedy District. The layout combines two different layouts, the Kennedy Island released route, and something new. Pictures will be posted when it's all said and done. Though it is currently operable, I want to wait for acelejalde's subway stations, you'll notice the difference for sure. All of the stations are currently underground (and currently Magicland's), though that will change before release. Also unlike the first version, since I know a lot more about Trainz now, the layout will include a detailed summary of the fictional history of the area, and proper credits will be written.

There is no date of release at the moment, so please don't ask.

Yeah, it seems that I have a teeny few things to work out still, which I'm doing at the moment. Right now, the "start" portions of the stations have the "Do Not Cross tracks" signs mirrored backwards, a result of flipping the "end" portions across the Y axis, which saves time instead of building an entirely new model. Other than that, The stations seem ready to go. I will re-release and updated portion of overhead signals, which are clear of the lights on the platforms, which were not part of the very first version.

If I can get this done before work tonight, then release tonight--if not, by Saturday evening! (Pacific Time, US--for all of you international followers :hehe: ) P.S. Cannot wait to see your line! Any chance of a route map posted here?

that is good I am have Trainz2010 but have not used it yet. They look like good platforms. I am making a version of the Broadway seventh avenue line of the NYC Subway they will come in useful sadly the route wil not be available to download any time soon.

I'm interested in seeing your interpretation of the line!

To the people that asked for my station you will get them soon i will let you know when you can have them maybe in next week or so i have a stressful few days coming up with school and band and stuff so i just want you to know that i haven forgot about you guys and that you will be getting the station.

Sounds good. Add me to the list.

Subway stations will be released first--I won't delay any longer--the open-cut stations will be a separate pack. BStyles still is working on the EL stations--so kindly, don't ask me if I'm doing those. I have to check with him.

Thanks for all the support!

Well how about this (see I'm quite good at making TRS2004 Routes ever since my success of my fictional route "Homebase Railway" and still have it installed), while u make the route (I'm not sure if u have TRS2004 or so)? And I'll remake the route from TRS2004 (from scratch unless if i need u objects).

I tried to shrink it and it was very hard to read - because it's a big picture, I will provide a download link so you can see it more clearer. Here's the link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=DPXEK2I0

Disclaimer: This route map is subject to change, I will provide a final version of the map with the layout when the route is released.

Not to rush you, but today is Monday. Is there a fault you discovered in the stations? Also, as for the "Do not cross signs", is the pic flipped backwards on the 3d sign itself; so the words on the sign reads backwards - or is the whole 3d sign flipped backwards; so that it faces the tracks?

NYCTA Subway Stations Released!

Here they are finally---my set of NYCTA Subway Stations! There are several CDP files to download, because pushing them all together was somewhere around 60 MB, and I know not everyone has blazing fast internet. So I broke them up into three separate ones. The 1-4 Track models work as splines with the ends built in. The 6T models work the same as Magicland's original stations, with end object pieces, and the spline for the station length. This was done because splines with more than 5 tracks couldn't be done prior to TS12.

Also, the bench, garbage can and exit stairs have been included as objects as well as the pillars and pillars with roofs. I've also included the CDPs for my new and improved signals (overheads included) that use BVE coronas I've gotten as part of the Signals pack for OpenBVE. As per the read me, credit for the coronas goes to TJay1724 over on the BVEStation forums. Without his work, my signals would not look as (pardon me) bad-ass as they do! :hehe:

The final .cdp file is the 3m Russian subway track that you must have for the subway stations splines.

Enjoy, and any feedback is welcome!

My next little project are open-cut stations for Brighton/Sea Beach/Dyre, and repeater/wall signals.

I accidentally deleted the older signals from my computer before replacing them with the new ones above. Now my route is missing signals. :'( What do I do?

The KUID numbers didn't change, so they should be fine. The newer signals should have over-written the older ones within the route. If not---then, I'm afraid you've committed the same faux-pas that many of us have. I just deleted a portion of my Phoenix light rail route that I had re-did with better tracks and catenary---back to the drawing board!

P.S. These new signals are better anyway--both visually and because they aren't in the way of the overhead lights on the subway stations.

They did not overwrite them - brand new kuids. But I'm starting from partial-scratch anyways, because some lines are getting express service.

yes acelejalde!!!lol :) :) there's not one day i don't come on the forums to see if you released these stations yet, ive been patiently waiting for them to come out because i wanted to use those stations for my own NYCTA route with all lines. this will be my third time trying to build the whole NYCTA system again because the last two went missing.

I just wanted to say to everybody who is working on these NYCTA stations and tunnels to keep it up because ya'll are doing a great job. Expecially acjelade for NYCTA station. Currently I am making a whole lot of SEPTA material and currently creating the Broad Street Line.

I'm also am making the NYCTA r40m,r40s,r68,r38, and r44.

Oh, and as a word of advice to all, don't overuse these stations, especially for the newer developers who have questions to ask and have no idea what they're working with. If you're gonna make a subway route, don't start off with one idea, and then get a billion more ideas. Make your first, or next project your best, and do not start a development thread if you know you're not gonna be committed to completing it.

The NYCTA mega pack is looking at a completion of about 53%. Once I get situated into my new area and ship up my laptop, I'll get back to work on my parts of the project, and I can assure you, there will be no more pauses, unless utterly necessary.
