To susanaes: Can't view doors and windows? Hard to tell what the problem is when u didn't describe what actually the problem is and what are trying to do with it.

Ya i cant view them either and thats the problem trying to get the Pepsi skin to cover the doors and windows

Well now that u are in the mesh viewer, u can NOT view the doors because its parts of the animation had the mesh in there, mesh viewer CANNOT open animation files.

None of the NYCTA content created by BStyles and myself is [nor will be] featured on the DLS. You need to be a registered member of BDC Forums in order to access the content.

And because of this. It's purely impossible to make it ready for Multiplayer which was what I was going for. Hope people can keep that in mind.

It's impossible for now. Eventually it will be on the DLS, but right now we want to make sure there are close to zero errors with the route itself and any content with the most recent SP of Trainz 12. So don't count us out yet Angel. Styles and I aren't the best at NYCTA for nothin!

But yes, for the time being that's the only place to get NYCTA content--it seems easier, all things considered. When the Beta testing phase is complete and further development moves forward, we will take necessary steps for upload to the DLS.

P.S. We do host multiplayer runs via TeamSpeak--while not the same in that you don't see other players on the route, it is a unique way to interact (same as the OpenBVE guys do it). It also helps with beta testing and gets it done quicker.

To my beta testers--work has been crazy the last few days, so I will get an updated route file to you guys soon!

NEW Trackside Signs & Signals!

FINALLY. After two hours of tiny little errors with the texture library script, ONE missing bracket that eluded me, and a huge oversight with the string-table, I am proud to finally present the next generation of track-side signs for Trainz NYCTA. Texture credit goes to the developers @ OpenBVE, most notably Henry Chen for giving me permission to use his textures folder to acquire the sign types (way better than my old ones).

These first picture depicts the dual signs found on outside portions of the subway. Each sign references a texture library and can display any of the signs found on the subway. The third picture is the normal single sign, with the same properties. This replaces the old beta sign where you had to pick your sign AND enter in a numerical value. This way is a lot easier. Yes there are 63 different textures, but once you get the hang of it, you'll be able to shoot through it breezily. You can even type in a few characters of the name you'd like and the menu will auto-scroll to that section. Thanks for the support guys! Next will be a few tunnel and overhead versions and then some testing then release!

Also, I've finally gotten a way to rename the distance and homeball plates for my signals as evidenced by the below picture! So, not only will new TS signs be coming in the next few weeks but also all new signals! No longer will that J2-356 or X-144 haunt your Trainz routes over and over! You'll be able to edit the text and have each signal read something different, depicting mileposts however you'd like. Each field will have up to 4 characters each. I'm proud to say that with the team we're cultivating at BDC Projects, we are making breakthroughs everyday to make you guys enjoy your NYCTA building more and more!

As always, enjoy!

^The new signals have some new mods not shown here: slimmer heads, making the lenses appear larger (and cooler), slimmer ladders & utility boxes and the return of that strange little box in the middle of the track whose purpose eludes me at this late hour.

can you send me the reskin my email is trains4621@hotmail.con

can you send me the reskin my email is {hidden}

1) Trains4621, please get your email address out of the post, it's never a good idea to post your email address on a public forum.
2) Have you considered that maybe he's not releasing that reskin to the public? Asking for it will not help. At best, he'll ignore it; at worst, he'll ragequit like so many other users who are just fed up with "gimme pigs" like yourself.
3) Besides, trainmaster101 hasn't even been on the website since 2010, so you will definitely not get any kind of response from him anyway.
4) Also, please don't quote more than one image per post, it's unnecessary and wastes precious bandwidth.

Or, Trains4621, you could try reskining yourself. Instead on waiting on others, try doing the best you can do. That's how I created my own reskins.

Pelham Line Completed!

(6) <6> finally finished to Pelham Bay Park. Enjoy!

Hey Ace I know I proabaly asked this already but I'm not sure anyway do you plan on doing the SIRT?
You're all good, no worries. I'm still on the fence about the SIRT. It's nothing to do with SI being the redheaded stepchild of NYC and more on my unfamiliarity of it compared to my knowledge of the subway proper. I do have a DEM of Staten Island linked to one version of my NYC map, so we'll see. I never rule anything out though. P.S. in other news I forgot to share, BStyles is adding the PATH system to his list of WIP's.

nice goin. u complete your IRT routes. so what now?
Yards, signaling, then scenery. Signaling is easier compared to scenery IMO since I have the maps and such. After this though, I will start rotating and get back to work on METRO and BART. I won't leave NYCTA completely alone. As you can tell from the system itself, there are four major points on the map that are tie-ins for future provisions for B-Division construction to begin immediately and effortlessly: (3)/(L) Junius-Livonia Wye, Concourse Yard, 207 St Yard, and Queensboro Plaza. More than likely one of the major N/S trunk lines will be completed next in Manhattan only for now. Early plans say this'll be the 8 Av from 207 to WTC. Who knows. :p

Next up is scenery, including supports for the EL.
Indeed. I have to create a custom piece for the flyover at 111 St on the 7, but not much else is gonna be "new" besides the new signals and editable signs.

There will be a major announcement concerning the future of Trainz NYCTA @ the BDC Projects Forum tomorrow night, so keep your eyes peeled guys!
