You're correct, they're opposites of one another. I might delete the 'redundant' pieces and just have players switch the direction in which they're laying the track. Thanks for your comment (not being sarcastic). Sometimes in development I get hung up on the details and a fresh pair of eyes says 'hey isn't that the same?' or points out simple things that I overlook. That should reduce the tunnel kit pieces somewhat.

Thanks again for a fresh pair of eyes---all the way from SPAIN! :hehe:

You, Bstyles and EL3T have caught the NYCTA perfectly. This is just great. I am not familiar with the Canarsie line but I can't wait to see it with some of the new tunnels and tracks that have been built. I am more familiar with the IRT lines except the 3 and 7 lines. I am also familar with the A and D lines

Scott is slightly correct. I put the build number at 2.0 because it avoids a lot of problems that committing to 3.3 has [in my experience, not sure if this is isolated or universal]. So, in theory, you can make these work all the way back to TS2004, but your performance won't be as great on that game due to updated graphics since the time 04 was released. I officially recommend TS2009 SP4 and up, so from now on, that's what I'll be saying, but just know it can work on earlier versions.

Tunnels Update

Hey all. I darkened the tunnels to make them more realistic and reduced the track length to 2.5m which makes it handle curves better. ALL of the tunnels are imported, in game and working just fine! The only thing is I realized I need a 3T and 4T tunnel with an open ended wall to use as halves for a 6T or 8T layout, so maybe 4 or 5 more pieces to come. Also, BStyles is working on the tubes. Enjoy the shots--these are my old subway stations--new ones are under construction!

Great job man ill be sure to update the boys at NYCTA about this. Also when you say "old stations" does that mean your making new ones or is B doing that and your just doing tunnels?

Very nice ! They did look better then expected.

Since your doing stations, tunnels, signs, and signals. What about the junction switches ?

Nice to see you back acelejade.

Excellent work. And congrats on your triumphant return :D.

Thank you very much! Very kind of you!

Can you clarify junction switches? I only took them out of the layout because they didn't make the photo look good. I currently have the US region set to alstom model 5 cement by Magicland as my default switches because it was too annoying having to do a mass replace every time I added a new interlocking.

 It´s really awesome,They are like real tunnel  Bravo¡¡

Thanks! Gotta give props to my partner BStyles for always finding the best textures to use. Also, sketchup is a gem--it has the ability to turn any texture realistic--I fiddled around with the color wheel until I found the right shades to use.

I'm in charge of the subway stations as well. B is handing the 142, 160, el stations and el track pack, not to mention his other BVE projects. Officially, I am in charge of Trainz route development, so I'd love to hear your suggestions for routes you'd like to see done. Assuming the kit is pumped out in its entirety soon, I will be doing the routes the way I've been doing them (one trunk line at a time), as well as the full system on the side.

So, I don't know how to include polls here, but I'll get one started. Submit your votes to me VIA PM ONLY!

Which NYCTA route would you like to see completed/released first?

A- BMT Eastern Division (Canarsie, Jamaica and Myrtle lines) [note: the Myrtle line will only go to B'way-Lafayette]
B- IRT Flushing Line [add-on, specify if you want the new extension included]
C- IRT West & East Side lines (yep--I'm doing the #1-#6 in one route!)
D- Lefferts/Rockaway Shuttles (from Euclid to Lefferts & Rockaway Park)

Good luck and get to voting! Polls will close on Halloween.

I personally would like a B-Division route(BMT Eastern Division) which will go well with the equipment available. Also may I suggest when making the underground stations can you leave the tracks out on the spline objects(not the end pieces) like magicland has his subway kits he has the end pieces < > then a spline object(w/o) tracks so we can place invisible stations inbtwn the end pieces to have the station and route passenger enabled.

one step ahead of you :D that's the approach we are using for all the stations we create from now on

Those aren't dead sir! They survived the horrible Summer 2012 external HD meltdown/fiasco and are thrice backed up now, original skp models and everything. Once I get good shots of ballasted track to use as the sole track texture, I'll be back to work on outdoor lines. That reminds me. Since the 2-3-4-5 tie-in with the Brighton line, I may copy the Flatbush Avenue portion and maybe have that as a beginning point for the Brighton/Astoria line of the Q.
