That's quite a bit of work cut out for them. I wonder if they'll use a concrete beam super structure instead of old wooden pilings.

It seems the H line, from the 1970's or 80's was put back in service to run along the rockaways.

Yes, the H line is currently a Rockaways only shuttle since the S in that area cannot run. Part of the reason for the H is to get people from the west end to the east end to catch buses going to Manhattan and reverse. Pretty long way around.
