NTSEFAN Q&A response 2
Oh, hello. heard you come in and called ARNOLD, to come and exterminate- VWEEP! CRASH!
Although I'm not going to be doing that through out the whole thread, but, yes. Now is the time. Time for me to answer your stupid questions. Before I go on into this, I like to say thank you all so much for the questions you sent me in those two weeks, I know I've been busy with high school stuff & outside life and all, but enough said, here we go!
K4driver asks:
Q: why are you doing this?
A: I've been a fan of Trainz ever since I got got my copy of it for the first time when I was young. For more info on the background story, go here:
http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=13158&page=5
Q: What makes you think you will be able to do this?
A: Well, I want to entertain people around the world & let them see that trains are more then just metal moing machines on rails and also educate then about trains and such.
Q: Do you think anyone will watch these?
A: Well, depending on how the raitings goes in the future, maybe
tycoonk4 asks:
A: Okay then.?
illinoiscentral asks:
Q: Why can't we post "noobish" questions on a "noobish" thread posted by a "noob"?!
A: Well, let me tell why you can not post noobish questions.
If anyone where to post questions that annoy me, that drives me to the limit.
for example:
Q: Will you still be doing Nick the Steam Engine?
A: No! No I will not! But why stop there? I could stop doing specials, shorts, bits, sketches, or just stop doing NTSE all together? Now I know what you're thinking.... "WHAT??!! Nick the Steam Engine is cancelled!!!???" (runs away and cries) "GOODBYE CRUEL WORLD!!" (BOOM!)
Well, this is my way of using sarcasum to point out how unbelieveably stupid your question was, so please, within retro conclusion, SHUT UP! with sukiyaki. HA HA! But no seriously, I SAID NO NOOBISH QUESTIONS!
There's your reason. oh yeah & also, I'M NOT A NOOB! I'm am a rookie.
Q: When did this forum become overrun by garbage?
A: I don't know. you ask me.:hehe:
Q: How many more of us brave souls dare to take a stand against this senseless posting only to have nothing done about it by either member nor moderator?
A: I'm just a poor soul who needs help up on to his feet, that's all.
Q: When will "talk the talk and walk the walk" when it comes to this creation of yours? How many more times must we read that it "hasn't taken fruitation"?
A: Because, I need a new computer first befro I can progess the series to come to fruitation.
Q: What's with the immature posting on post #4? Of course you don't smoke, I doubt you're much over the age of 12.
A: Cause I'm 18, okay?! just cut me some slack. If you can't handled the matureness by now, you never will.
Q: Can you make these threads after progress has actually been made, you know, when you're not "busy"?
A: I'll see what can be done.
Q: Will you actually answer these questions?
A: DUH! who wouldn't.
I understand.
K4driver also asks:
Q will you realize no one will more than likely watch these?
A: I may unless raitings go down.
Q: Do you realize that you are copying Thomas right down to the T
A: OH NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! you must be confused.
My series may be like TTTE, but however, my show is in NO way, no how, no shirts, no shoes, no legs, no serivce is my show directally related to thomas & friends, it is a all new approach to trains & such. the only , THE ONLY thing that may be copied from T&F is the living appearences of the trains & a FEW stories, thats just it. NO RIP OFFS!
I hope this clears things up.
Q: How long will it take you to answer these?
A: Well, depends on how many there are.
Q:How Long Until you make even an attempt to start this?
A: Probaly until I start college start.
Q: What is up with post 4?
A: I don't know what I was on when doing this so phisically, I was obviously possesed by my alter ego who represents my bad side.
Q

o I need to go on?
A: you don't have to if you want.
tycoonk4 also asks:
I just want this to blow up in the hanger.
A: then load up the dynamite if you will.:hehe:
Because it sounds silly.
And he is throwing my suggestions out the window.
A: Now why would I do THAT?
JRT asks:
Q: Would you like your "route" for the videos done by me? I will do it for $20.00 USD + Paypal fees....
Cheers,
JRT
A: Well.... I'll see about it. for a price mind you.
Okay, I can't stand on the sidelines anymore.
NTSE, I'mma tell it to you straight. You have absolutely no idea what you are getting yourself into. Making a railroad series, or any video series, is sometimes just as hard as building a locomotive in gmax. I've tried making my own trainz video series like yours before (anyone remember "Adventures of Scott & Friends?"). It had minimal characters, and original plot, and a decent backstory. However, only one episode ever saw the light of day. Doing something on that level requires almost the attention of a part-time job. Doing something like that AND producing it on a regular basis - might as well make it your job. The reason "The Mohawk That Wouldn't Quit" was so successful was because I eliminated the need for extra voices and a cast.
To put it frankly, your series has just too much stuffed into it. Yes, you've got a general plot, but it feels extremely cliché. Your character list is also a bit bloated. Good luck finding voices for all of them. Remember, you're not a Hollywood director, you're a kid with a computer and a train sim. Hosting auditions helps, but you have to generate enough interest in the series to get a decent number of people to audition. And even then, you still might not end up with the cast you need.
I know it sounds like I'm shooting down your whole plan, but I just don't want you to start something you can't keep up with. Take it from someone who knows.
A: Aaron, I see where you are going with this.
When I did see your first episode of Scott & Friends(yes, I remembered) I will have to admit it was pretty good, despite the long time it took to make this.
What I'm doing here is really simple.
for the next few years until I graduate & get a house of my own, I will just be doing my series, comic book styled and all like garfield & marmaduke for example here on this forum. And then when I signed a contract for a TV station to have my series made, I'll do what ever it take to make my dream a reality.
As for characters, yes it is going to be a HUGE cast, almost just as huge as the original transformers voice cast. Obviously, can you imagine what it be like if James was voiced by Seth Mcfarland, Peter voiced by Rob Paulsen, Herbert voiced by Mike Henry, Big rob voiced by Kevin Micheal Richardson,
Daylight voiced by Tom kenney, Bob voiced by Bob Shriver and such? That WOULD be HUGE!
I will try to understand what you are trying to tell me.
tycoonk4 also asks:
A: Yes I know. Aaron's a cool guy when you know him.
Ronayne asks:
@ NTSEFAN - I am not ganging up on you or being mean, I am however just pointing out major flaws with your idea.
Truemac has a very valid point. The crew who produce Thomas the Tank Engine (or any similar/stop motion animation series) would do it as a full time job, not as a hobby.
From what I understand, you would be making it for fun/a hobby. It would probably take a couple of months to produce a 30 minute show.
Where are you going to get people to do voices for your show? I don't think there are many people with lots of spare time who are willing to do it.
~ Chris
A: I understand that TRUEMAC is making a point. I ain't doing the series just for the fun of the hobby or just for the job, I'm doing this for the passion of entertainment and comedy and to keep people laughing about it.
As for voices, I'll be voicing most of them & I'll see if I can post up auditions.
nuni7270 asks:
A: Hilarious.
This is my Q&A response thread.
