NSW Routes Focused Around CityRail

Hi, I have been searching for a while for CityRail specific routes that are in NSW, around Sydney would be even better. Roy had previously started one, but there is little hope for that one.

Does anyone know of any good or detailed realistic route that is used by CityRail for Trainz 2004-2009? If you know, please give me the links, or the search queries for DS. Thanks...

I have an terribly unfinised version of the Ropes Creek line, If you search for posts from user 3830 he is building the hunter/short north area. Can't remember his name but there is a bombo area one.

Hello FBI_Bosch,

I am currently working on Cityrail - Shellharbour to Waterfall (DEM map) route. Though it is a ways off, I have track 75% laid and working on some textures etc atm to take a break from track laying. But I not sure on any good ones available at this time. I myself being a NSW lad (Now in Adelaide) like anything city rail as well.

My route I am designing, I am trying to have AI commuter trains and player controlled freight initially ( hints at Davido's V set ) But I am not looking at any type of release for another few months as my time working on it has waned due to work commitments atm ( Shame having to make money to live) But I will be putting updates on the forums as I move along, Though i have been a bit slack with them in the last few weeks.

try typing in south lines on the dls

there are quite a few sections that you can add together
they wer made by various authors , but all made to hook up together

You are correct Ron, there are 16 different maps that make up Southlines but some of those are for TRS2006 only. I had them all merged about 18 months ago but after a computer crash ended up losing it :'(. There is one small hitch when merging the maps and that is it 'breaks' a lot of the interactive industries and you have to go through and fix them (a real pain ).

i found that as well.
i ahd them all togheter in my Tc 1+2, but they wont come backwards
i dot'n feel like sending them to my mate to change them back, because i would have to rejoin everything all over again

i think i'm too lazy for that

if you know the way you want the line to run, go to the dls and start typing in names under routes
you will find that southlines runs past wagga

i had it on my old pc with tc, but its not on this 1 as yet

on the dls there are several sections of the main south line that links sydney to melbourne, look up the users Tomtre and Pgibbons you will find they both have created sections of the main south, once you have downloaded the sections you will need to merge them.

That crack about doing all of NSW... this a gee-up or what??

To elaborate on my meaning, download the Georgetown to Tarin Rocks route by axe1970... it's fictional but a magnificent Australian representation. That route took axe the best part of 3+ years to make!!

Yeah I agree. sydney to melbourne. Who's got that much time to play it!
To get the realism axe has on the GT to TR route, I would need 20 years.
