Not satisfied with Auran's Support .

I don't know where you live, but N3V is in Australia - which is a day ahead of the US. It's already the weekend down there. Not likely to get an answer from them until Monday.

Also, depending on the priority you gave it, they might not answer you for a while based on that.

Auran went bust and trainz was only saved by N3v stepping, The help desk is pretty stretched as a result so you will have to wait a few days for a response but they will get there in the end.

They are slow , very slow . I'm waiting for their reply for my ticket ( about refund ) since two days .

I think, IMHO, that chances of getting a refund are.... >0<

But heck, what do I know.

But, you did this.... http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showpost.php?p=847074&postcount=1

Trainz 12 after downloaded and installed some GBs of data from the Download Station and websites .

1795 errors , 1708 warnings .

What's up with this game ?

Regards,

I also created this :

I was an idiot . Thought the newest version of Trainz will be better , but i was wrong . :(
I spent $54 on the Trainz 12 , Murchison 2 and the locomotives DLCs on GamersGate , and more then $30 AUD on the newest locomotive DLC and the First Class Ticket on the Auran's store .

Got my refund from GamersGate and i'm waiting for a refund from Auran . ( DLC and First Class Ticket become useless if you don't own the base game )

I agree with Aardvark. Your chances of receiving a refund are really nil. You registered the game, which precludes anyone else from buying the game from you and registering it. N3V would be crazy to give you your money back. It would be like buying a really nice car, scratching your name into every painted panel, stealing the motor, and the tires, then trying to return it. No dealer would ever give you back your money.

it dpends on your computer.... did you look at the mins spec's for trainz 12,
I think it a lot better than 06 or 10, i have all o fthem .....

I have had Trainz since one of the earliest versions and I agree with the other responses to this thread - 12 is by far the best yet. Virtually all the complaints I have read in these forums about the program not working have come down to user errors such as incorrect system settings, inadequate hardware specs or simply not following the installation instructions (which I admit some people can find a bit confusing).

Here we go again, another "it's your fault I don't understand it" thread. Try asking here on the forum for help first before you spit the dummy and throw all the toys out of the pram. :p

I can understand where some folks would be upset with TS12 if they based it on the performance of some of the routes. There are at least two routes in TS12 that are framerate killers and you can only get the framerates going if you look at the loco from a down-the-smokestack view. In one the content of the route was changed (according to the author) by N3V from what he had put into it causing the framerate problem. Some say it was SpeedTrees and some say it is a spline problem. Whatever...it should NOT have been included for release in that condition. There are many posts on the forum complaining about these two routes. So complaints about some things are NOT a user's problem, but a problem with N3V and what they include in a release.

I love the comments about hardware not being adequate. Anyone notice what the economy is like IN THE WORLD? Anyone got enough money to pay for a full blast max performance gaming computer? There was a comment on another forum that I thought was perfect:

"Pentium D, 3.5gig, 500GB hard drive, 4GB memory, Nvidiia card, yeah it will do it, but it's either pay the mortgage and car payment or spend more money on Trainz stuff. Like I said before, they are making the mouse trap too complicated. A person just getting into it turns and walks away, and that's not heresay, that's from asking questions on my forum."

Mine is slightly weaker than the the one above...a Pentium 4 3.8Gig, 4 GB RAM, and Nvidia 9600 GT with 2 GIG of RAM. Pentium 4 is not dual core like Pentium D. It runs all but two routes (the two I mention above) just fine. No slideshows or problems and all settings maxed out.

If Trainz runs slow ... and has problems on your PC ... Your PC might not be up to the quality specs demanded by 09, 10, 12.

Turning the sliders down might help.

I really doubt that a refund will happen ... as there is nothing wrong with the disc.

I tried that sliders adjustment on one of the slideshow routes...no effect. Oh heck...the route is Norfolk and Western-Appalachian Coal.:p

I agree...furgetabout a refund.

Well, if you want a refund you're certainly entitled to try, but it seems as if you haven't explored your other options to improve game play. There's lots of good advice on these forums, I recommend looking for answers to your performance problems. Good luck.

Well, theres your problem! I got Trs12 and mainly just drive trains on Mojave with a raildriver and use Trs10 for route building because of the compatibility mode. I don't care for 12 much right now untill more content is produced for it and get around to learn how to fix broken conent.

I mean it's your own fault buddy for failing to read how bad Trains 2012 is.. Basically what I've come to learn is Trainz is going downhill and there refusing to fix all the ERRORS and everything.. People just keep on sending $$ on pointless items.. I was in love with 2006 and I fell for the trap once I got 2010 lol

I been staying on Port Ogden and Northern. No SpeedTrees and fantastic framerates and scenery. I gave up on The Norfolk and Western Route. I might as well uninstall it. It's a joke in it's present form. TS12 is "okay". Which makes me uncomfortable to say after shelling out $150 for it :(

As always,....plain, plain with sea salt, butter, butter with sea salt are available.
Note: sea salt has a much better flavor.

Gotta love these weekend.... debates.

Have fun,:)

Well then I have a complaint about the FCPT. I don't want any sea salt because fish use the sea as a toilet. I insist on iodized salt...preferably Morton's. And extra extra butter. :)

I myself am pretty satisfied with TRS 2009. I don`t have the money or computer hardware and power to run 2010 or 12 though. TRS2009 is basically a updated 2006 polished up few more features and extended product support. :p
