Northeast Corridor Newport News, VA to Boston-South Station, MA (1024x 768 pixels)

It is a skewed form. Only one set is used and it goes single track to gauntlet track to single track for no reason. Out of the three tracks that pass through New Carollton it is the only one like it.

Davis
another reason is for wider loads and so that wider cars do not hit train platforms such as well intermodal cars

Man, I should probably get a set of this gauntlet track. I wouldn't use it for the use you are though. I would make a car scale with it. (Locomotives were normally on then second track as to not damage the scale itself.)

Do you by any chance have the KUID?

there isn't actually a gauntlet track, only two tracks intertwined. Gauntlet track along with dual gauge track are unfortunately two things not possible to be made into a spline in trainz.

William:)

I just layed to MP Wood tracks on top of each other and spaced the rails. if the whole route was like this I may have looked for a more convienent solution but the MP Wood is what I wanted and was easy.

BTW, I cant work on this until next Friday so no real updates...

Thanks

Actually, Will, Elvenor did some nice dual-gague track once before...if I recall he used two separate splines of invisible track laid over a dual gague mesh.

Its alittle late but I am following up to my statement about revising the New Carollton platforms to something a little more prototypical and I finally got around to getting the pictures uploaded.

Here we go :
A regular MARC Commuter train going south cab car forward:

Looking over at the cab car with adjusted railings and staircases, I really need a good concrete or metal staircase, this one just doesn't fit the bill:

Wow...you did SUCH a great job making New Carollton. I love the generator details off to the side.

Thank you very much. New Carollton is one of my favorite spots, I have yet to add the big office buildings off to the side but once there I think it will have a great effect.

Thanks

Actually, I might as well say it. He made them for private use but over at TCR they were packed into the .cdp which was TCR's bluff, so I assumed it was public. They are called like "Modern UK Utility Platforms..." or something like that. So now he is frustrated because he only sent them to select people (me not one of them) and one of those guys packed most of thme if not all in a route. At one point he was talking about releasing them but right now I am not taking them off my route (just to save time) because they will probably be publically available by the time I finish this up. IF however for some reason he still wants them private then I will go back and replace them with the old stuff. So screamingman14, for now lets just put your request on hold and you can speak directly through gandolf if you have further concerns.

Thank you very much

Davis

Well...I'm confused about that. But the route looks great! Clever use of the Double MP-Woods.

Steveo241

In short, it was private, it leaked out and Gandolf doesn't want it to spread.

Thanks for the comment, the ties don't 100% match up but I hope to correct that.

Update:
Hey guys!

I have made it as far south as the leads/interlocking into the station area orf Union Station. I have layed down New York Avenue and I will next be working on revitalizing the platforms at my Union Station. Completely scrapping the lower level of Union Station and re-doing it as well as lengthing branch leads and detailing the Ivy City Maintenence faciltities (which BTW I could really use a good diagram of the place (modern day as of 2000) just for mechanism placement. As I have shown I already have the buildings down. I also redid the flyover fronm the Camden to Brunswick lines that pass over the Ivy City facilities.

Pictures will definatly come soon (either Friday or later this weekend).

Also, I may put in some requests for custom content which can be created at the creator's time bceuase I can add it in at any point.

One major thing I will definatly need in the future is New Haven Style Catenary, not a look a like. But considering how far away I am, I wont need it any time soon, so if someone can tackle that they have plenty of time.

Thanks

Davis:)
