North Central Colorado

So far, your attention to detail is ensuring this will be one of the most prototypically accurate routes ever made. Nice work, you should be proud.

Right on. There are many good proto routes out there that I have seen, but this will be one of the good ones to be sure!

I really like your screenshots Jim. Very amazing, hard to tell if it's real or TRS!

Thanks Euphrod, Woody, Bryan, and KF, much appreciated.

Here's a couple shots from Google Earth street view from Interstate 25 looking west over the Sinnard / Poudre Valley Coop area.

Another hundred yards or so north, this shows where the siding runs for the building supplies and liquid fertilizer delivery.

This view shows the stock yards of Centennial Livestock Auction to the south........ (starting on that tomorrow)

A little further west......

A suggestion for JRT...

I believe this layout could quite possibly be the World's Best Layout in JRT's Trainz World Records. When looking at your layout, it is like imerssing myself in Colorado! BTW Jim, how's that GP from BNSF?:hehe: Has she been paint yet?
-Woody.

The next series of shots are taken at dawn.

The GW engine (2243) is a GP 7 Topeka chop nose. The view is looking to the North East.

This gas station now features fresh brewed coffee from a local roaster. The quality has improved a lot since my last visit :)

Geez Jim, deisel is outragous over there!:hehe: $4.25?!
Jim are getting lazy? I mean good grief that locomotive has been in the shop how long?:hehe: Keep em' coming.

I once heard a song at church...Excuses, Excuses, Excuses...:hehe:
I don't know, she kinda looked like maybe she had patched out graffiti on her in that one picture long ago.

Just saw these updates before I head off to bed. Very nice shots there Jim! Yah ouch...that price of diesel is a bit steep! Sign of the times I guess. Makes it even more realistic...I think that's a good thing? or not?

:o

The last time I checked regular gas it was about $1.25 cents per gallon.........

I dunno, it's been a while since I've seen regular.

[offtopic]Wow that's a great price on regular unleaded! Here it's back up to over $2.00 again! *sigh*[/offtopic]

I need to nab me a pair of 3D glasses to see your 3D shots here. Those look cool!

:)

Hey Brian,

Those 3D glasses are cheap! You can get the cardboard anaglyphic glasses under a dollar. Do a google search for 3D glasses. If you have an Nvidia card, just download a stereo driver. Once installed, you can toggle on and off using an assigned hot-key on your keyboard during a driver session.

About the gas, I wasn't talking about Regular Unleaded, I meant just Regular gas from back in the "Regular or Ethel" days. Regular Unleaded around here is climbing right back up where it was months ago.

Ah ok great! Thanks for the info on the 3D glasses and I'll have to check into that. And oh yah, I remember those types of gasoline from when I was a kid.

So Jim, how long is your railroad? Tell us your engine roster! I'm very excited about seeing more from you. I think out of any of these layout threads your's has me hooked! Now if you could just make it like a story like WCL does...
