Get over it
It's now 2:15pm here in Southern Jersey and I've got two feet of snow in my driveway and it's not suppose to stop snowing until 7pm. We're not use to this. Come on summer. Oh yeah, we may get another snow storm on Wednesday. Get me outta here.

Lucky I live in NYC,The Bronx and NYC alone was supposed to get anywhere from 4in-8in of snow but we ain't get nothing but cloudy skies.

I don't blame you for wanting to leave. I have watched the storms on tv, looks miserable.
Last year we had more snow then usual here in the pacific northwest, but this January is the warmest on record. Hopefully that will happen to you next year.
Loren

HA!

It missed us for a change, which is rare! :D :D

But we're scheduled for the storm coming through on Wednesday.

Stay warm and safe, folks.

John

Well, look on the bright side. At least we have Trainz so we can have something to do in the snow. Not in the snow, but ya know I mean.

You poor, cold, snowed-in, miserable Americans. I would kill to have snow down under!:D Just not as much as you're having...

Greetings from the sunny (and lately rainy) Gold Coast, where we've had 8 inches of rain in 24 hours!

Happy Trainzing,
from Scottling.

Ha! All you southern folk getting all that snow and here in Michigan we have like 4 inches on the ground and it has barely snowed in weeks. It is about time you took your fair share of that white crap! :D

You wussies...

We had almost FOUR feet of snow where I lived in the 2003 blizzard in Colorado...
At my Grandparent's place in Evergreen, nearly SIX feet!

...That's just cause Colorado is notorious for big snows... :D

It stopped snowing around 3pm and all the neighbors started digging out. We all helped one another dig out. We're just not use to this much snow. I heard on the news that we're gonna get another snow storm Tuesday night and most of the day on Wednesday. They're talking about maybe another foot of snow. Talk about cabin fever, I'll be glad to see spring time.

2 feet of snow crippled the washingtonian metro area for two days strait, had to use contruction graders to remove the snow, a hanger collapsed over at dulles poor private pilot(almost the same way that the B&O railmuseums main in round house shed/turntable did), metro trains were stuck under the ground because trains were already struck above ground in the yards and on a few bridges, Maryland area rail commuter and virginan rail express wound't even get their equipment out of the sheds until csx brought in their snow reliable loco's on the cambien, brunswick line in md, and routes south of dc not really sure about how 1st street and va. avenue tunnels faired in the snow?

The graders didn't even come until yesterday at 11pm most likely from the I.C.C. construction.

stouthm, you are lucky, only two feet, where I lived in 1972 even before xmas the snow was up to the top of the mobile home I lived in at the time, there was a trench from the door and you had to shovel around the windows to let light in, and minus 35 to 40 to boot. Those in BC know where sparwood and elkford are located. Now thats what I call a bit of snow.

Sounds like they need a few British Steam Locomotives to help them out. :D

We might not get much snow in our part of the world, but we have had quite a bit of rain lately. Add to that some poorly maintained roads and this is what you get.
