Newbie With Low End Computer

Greetings -

Very new to TS2012. My computer system is down near minimal requirements levels and it shows more often than I would like.

Are there things I can do, i.e. disable, turn off, tone down, to lessen the load on my CPU and GPU?

Are there suggested routes to download that don't place large demands on the system?

If this has all been discussed in other threads, could you direct me to them?

Thanks much!

You could post your PC make, model, and specs, CPU speed expressed in GHz, type of CPU (AMD, Intel, I3, I5, I7, integrated graphics or video card, Windows, MAC, DELL, laptop, desktop ?

Surprisingly, my Dell E521 which has a single core AMD Sempron at 1.8GHz runs it decently. Perhaps try getting an external video card? Sure the processor has play in it, but a nice video card goes a long way. I have a Nvidia GT610.

Welcome to the forums.

There are settings you can turn down that may improve things, but we will need to know what your system specifications are in order to give specific advice.

The settings you can change on that front are under Launcher > Options > Display Options and Main Menu > Options > Video Settings.

Welcome!

Start with the built in routes, they're usually less graphics intense.
One thing you need to check is that you add the ts12 directory to the exemptions of your virus checker, otherwise it will check each disc load. That slows it down lots. In the start options setting, turn the shadows off.
