Do these units still work in TS12 SP1? I'm not sure, because most of the shots I see of this stuff is in TANE. The B-unit BN's are a must for completion of 1990's BN trains collections anywhere! BN had tons of these things running around (Some were SW1200 bodies as well) on trains everywhere. I'm very excited to have seen these brought to life.

:)

I love that PRR GP9. I'd order it but I don't really model the PRR very much.

Also, I can't help first reading the text on the tank car as reading ZERO Chemical Safety Training then reading it for what it actually says. Is this intentional?

Hi all Well I just ordered the safety train for my Trains2012 I cant wait
Thank you Jointed Rail

If the BN stuff is for tane only it would say so and as it doesn't I figger its for TRS 2012 and Tane I think???

It says ZERO IN on safety

Pack will contain 7 cars. Fire Safety Car, Chemical Safety Car, Spill Safety Car, Classroom Boxcar, Scripted Simulation car, caboose, and locomotive. Simulation car will emit gas, fire, steam on command.
This is the safety Train
This is a bloody good deal for what I paid

I can't fined when the safety train is due to be released for download can you please help

Nice I will purchase these when I get the chance. Well done on these JR. Quick question when I purchase the BN Booster pack do I get all 3 items or do I have to download the engine separately because it's telling me to pick one of two download links

Lots of nice stuff. I may order the safety train. What loco will be on it?

Also, I hate to be 'that guy,' but is item of the month coming shortly?

You can either buy the GP50 or the B unit seperately or together in the pack.

Unless it is noted someplace on the product page everything is TS12 SP1 and above.

BN was a well known buyer and maker of booster units. in the 80s they took the orders of the GE B30-7A1 to complement the speedy GP50s they were ordering to pull hotshot intermodal trains. They would have been GP50B units but BN was unable to form a timely agreement with EMD either due to cost or production time and GE stepped in with the B units seen above.

Just out of curiosity, JR, do you happen to know why BN's GP50s have the 60-series blower duct rather than the older rounded one? Was it just EMD gearing up for the 60-series locomotives, or is there a more interesting reason?

Regardless, top notch, as always. Hope to see Mopac GP50s in the future!

It was just a standard part by then (1985). Some production GP40-2s and GP50s were fitted with that style of duct.

Need more BN stuff. Glad to see another Tiger Stripe unit surface. I know they weren't the most common things in the world, but I remember seeing enough of them to make an impression growing up around Seattle! XD

Thanks, I'll purchase as I'm able,

Two questions -

What loco comes with the safety train?

and also - I hate to nag you guys not this, but - Is item of the month on the way?

All of BN's order of GP50s came with the tiger scheme. 1 SD40-2 and the 3 SD60s were the only others.
