Most of his content is very similar like this, I think his work was the first time he has reskinned anything and I am not sure what the original looked like.

They are handy for background items, but not in the foreground.

I am thinking of getting a Wide Screen monitor soon as well but not sure which one and size yet.

Mine is a Veiwsonic VX2433 1080p HDMI, runs sweet the only fault and this has been noted on other sites, the power switch LED has failed for displaying
blue when the monitor is on.

Thanks for the thought Gordon, 23" certainly is big from what I have seen. Maybe it's just the difference between my 8 year old 19" "square" monitor compared to widescreen.

Hi Guys, our thread is progressing I see.

Iced, the 737 and 747 aircraft do use some different texture placements, so windows can be a little high or low, choose a model that best matches your reskin attempt.

As I said, each airline I have done seems to have a different window arrangement, and I have done night windows to match that placement. When you reskin, can I suggest you either leave the original window placement in the reskin or try to match your reskin windows to the original, otherwise the night windows texture will not align in Trainz.

Gordon, no I cannot handle Lightwave files, while there are some plugins out there I believe, they cost, and never sure of the accuracy of translation or the ownership of original files used. Many imports break files up into elements instead of polygons (twice as many mesh lines) and very difficult to manage in 3dsmax.

After a lot of work, the rebuilding of Cootamundra Airport has finally seen it's first large aircraft land.

Due to the size of the aircraft now landing at Coota, the Rescue Vehicles had to be updated and increased.

These vehicles from Alien where most welcomed at Coota and are also on order for Wagga.

Not that happy with my area for small aircraft, so I will have to think about that more.

This is a module at the moment to eventually be merged with my main Southlines Route and possibly be the basis for airports at Cowra, Narrandera and Griffith.

Many thanks to Alien for the Fire Trucks, they are much appreciated.

Airport vehicles

Hey everyone hope youa re all well,

I'm having some difficulty tracing down airport vehicles (luggage tractors gangway trucks etc). Any vehicle to do with airports. Can anyone tell me what is available on DLS. I have indeed tried searching (aiport, luggauge loaders luggage tractors vehicles etc). Any help at all would be greatly appreciated

Look under airport and you will find a tractor and trailer, try Jet to find the refueling trucks, try stairs for the gangways and in my last shot the yellow tractor and trailer are under balkran I think ( at work at the moment ) if you have trouble repost and I'll get the kuid's when I get home.

There is also the bradshaw tug and there is a bradshaw driver to go with it.

Also look up Vulcan, Willem2 and Alien3

They produce excellent material, I also search some of the Russian trainz sites and find alot of product that can be adapted to my map that is not on the DLS.

Today I installed SP3, and guess what? It wiped out all my custom content, including my reskins. Now I'm going to have to go through the pain of redownloading all of the planes so I can reskin again.

Hi guys,

Don't normally post here, but i do browse through occasionally to see whats happening in the world of planez, and i must say: WOW! The work here is great, kudos to Vulcan and the others for taking the time and effort to produce such brilliant content.

Anyway, to the purpose of my post: In Seeseemes shots above, there is a pic of two NSW Fire Brigade tankers in the rescue building. Is these part of the textures for the building, or are these available somewhere? I have been searching for NSW emergency vehicles. I have a ford police van and an ambulance, but no fire trucks.

My towns are at risk without them! Fire is an ever present risk in an Aussie summer, and my residents need protection, but have none!

Can someone please help procure a few tankers for the, for now, empty fire stations?

Cheers for the replies. I had the Holden crewman, knew about that one. I also had the others, i just wasn't looking hard enough.

Is that all the NSW emergency service equipment out there, because i'm sure in real life there is a greater variety, especially with the Fire Brigades.

Oh well, i'll do what i can with what i have.

Kind of like real life, when you think about it, what with funding issues and whatnot.

Edit: Craig, looks good. I may have to attempt a small airport of my own, to try out some of this stuff. Where would the best place to go be to find out about airport layouts?
