Airbus A330-243 - Transat
Touching down on Runway 26R at Vancouver International after the long flight from Toronto is a Transat A330-243.
Transat is one of Canada's less known airlines. The third largest behind Air Canada & WestJet.
The A330 pulls into the gate amongst a number of Air Canada A320s & B767s.
The Transat is the first of my series of A330 aircraft. It is a request from Pascal (or via Pascal) from quite a while ago. There are many more A330s on my list. This Transat A330 has the now superseded livery. The new one is quite intricate but I will attempt is soon enough.
The Transat A330 is now available on DLS.

Production lines still buzzing I see ! Can't see me producing the quality that you guys do but I plan on having a go when back from holiday. Have been waiting for Ian's Fokkers to appear in content before I leave and wondering if they've got overlooked ? Or maybe he's going to load them with the BA Embraer for when I get back ?

I have a question for you all, I have finally gotten back into trainz and have found time to make a route, I was planning on doing high quality airports with DEM data and custom textures and such, If I were to charge 7 or 8 dollars for a map how many people would consider buying. Itd be quality similar to jointedrail or trainz italia routes but for planes
Airbus A320 - 214 - SWISS
Two different liveries for this SWISS A320:
Former livery from 2006 to 2012. This one has the usual winglets.
New and simplified livery, The "cube" logo has disapeared. This aircraft is fitted with the new winglets, so called "sharklets".
Here are the 2 aircrafts, for comparison.
Thanks to Vulcan who updated this model to the Startup standard, with these 2 winglets possibilities.
Available today or tomorrow at the DLS.

I can't imagine you'd ever hit any of the airports that i'd want to see but it's a good idea.
C-17 Globemaster - Updates
Early on a crisp May morning at McChord, a Globemaster takes on fuel & the last few pallets of payload. It will soon take off for Christchurch as part of the Antarctic program.
Soon after, the Globemaster clears the coast & the islands off Seattle.
Notice the yellow markings just behind the cockpit windows. These are courtesy of some Vulcan modeling work. He's upgraded his original RAAF Globemaster.
A couple of hours into the flight off the Baja Peninsular the C-17 approaches a KC-10A Extender that's lifted off from Travis Air Base, California.
The KC-10A crew extends the refueling boom.
The C-17 pilots ease up to the boom. Steady as she goes lads.
Contact. Now you can see what the markings on the roof are for.
The C-17 takes on a full load of fuel to ensure it will make it to Christchurch with a full payload.
The two aircraft disengage and go their separate ways. The KC-10A will turn back to Travis where the crew will be back on the ground within the hour. The Globemaster crew aren't so lucky as they have a long afternoon ahead of them before they touch down in Christchurch.
Maybe Gordon can pick up the story from here....
The point of the story is about the upgrades to the Globemasters with the arrival of the KC-10A Extender (thanks to Vulcan). As you can see, the Globemasters are now geared up with the refueling port above the pilots' heads. There have been some other subtle changes along the way including the flashers being added to the startup sequence. The USAF content previews have been changed as well to make it easier to work out which air base they come from. (You'll see). I've also added a Charleston variant to the family. This was triggered by the link posted by H222 at the top of this page.
I felt sorry for those guys having to use a Travis aircraft on a South Carolina Route. I'm pretty sure the Charleston Globemasters spend a fair amount of time over in Europe at the USAF outposts. I imagine/hope you European Trainzers will find a use for this one.
