New Aircraft

Bob,

I started to proceed on your 2nd list, with some A320. Next would be Austrian, Swiss, and others out of the list like Wizz Air, or Aeroflot. Takes some time..

With Rob, we have our Yalta agreement, and we try to avoid cossing the borders..

There shouldn't be any conflict Bob. Pascal & I communicate a fair bit so we don't overlap our projects.

It may seem that I've given up (Pascal is making me look really slack lately). I don't have much time of late for re-skinning & the time I have had has been tied up trying to build my American Airlines Boeing 777s. They've been a trial but I'm getting close now. Hopefully after they're done I can start churning out re-skins a bit more regularly.

Hi Ian (Vulcan)

I've left my program running a while and come back to find an ANA 787 sat where an Air India 787 should be!

When I test load a B787 Air India onto my map, an ANA appears. Do you want to check this out ?

Bob

Ian - ignore that last post.

as an afterthought I have just loaded the AIC onto my test board and it is perfectly OK. I thought it was weird because I'm sure I would have looked at the aircraft soon after it was made available.

I am having trouble with an area of my storage tracks for off-game aircraft that I have extended by copying and pasting, and the junctions disappear, but only after saving the session. The existing AIC 787 has changed into a ANAS 787 (yet no others seem affected) and when I load another AIC into that area it also appears as a ANA!

I despair with this program sometimes. I am now wiping the whole of the newly extended storage and laying it from scratch on the basis that the copy and paste function just does not work properly.

Bob

Hi Bob,

Trainz does some strange things sometimes, I checked that the models did have different kuids, and they placed separately. I thought maybe you had done an asset replace and changed the aircraft without noticing. I thought copy and paste will only work with some asset kinds, but have not used it much.

I may do some of the aircraft on your list Bob, after I do modifications for Rob and Pascal to help with the reskinning on older releases.

Ian

Thanks for that Ian - there is nothing wrong with the 787 at all so I am not cancelling my orders for new aircraft !

I'm confident the problem is resolved - TS12 forum tells me I've made track and junction changes in session layer instead of route layer and a simple merge of the two seems to have done the trick. Whether that also affected the 787 or whether an EDR did the trick I don't know.

All I've got to do now is replace a big area of my storage tracks and junctions that I have ripped out to try and sort things. Had nothing to do with copy and paste in the end.

Thanks

Bob

The British Airways Airbus family is expanding.

Here, the A3XX B.A. work horses: from right to left, The A321, A319, A319 "the Dove", and the newcommer A320-232.
The A319 and A320 repaints are based on Vulcan's A321 colors, so that the liveries look similar when parked side by side.

Also coming soon, these A321-211 of Finnair, former and new liveries.

Just uploaded.

Tres Bon Pascal !

The 320's will make an impact with the sheer number of them and the 737's just don't look right as part of the Airbus fleet - and yes, colour differences are noticeable when looking at everything parked on T5 so even better :he:

Thanks also for the Finnair 321's - using Silk Air at moment so looks a bit peculiar at LHR.

Summer has arrived in Northern England so making the most of it before it disappears again....... looks like a fleet replacement programme when it starts raining again.

Merci beaucoup !

Bob

I am doing some updates for some of the commercial aircraft to help Rob and Pascal with reskinning, but I thought you might like this one, the Sukhoi Su-35S.

sukhoi100.jpg

It is a startup model, with a few new wrinkles. The pilot is initially out of the aircraft, he gets in, the canopy closes, he does the usual checks and starts the engines. The flashers are inoperative until the engines are started.

sukhoi101.jpg

He tests the elevators, rudders and thrust vector nozzles.

sukhoi102.jpg

The aircraft flares for landing and has the usual trigger functions.

sukhoi103.jpg

It fires missiles as usual, and is fully loaded initially. You can choose the mix of weapons on the hardpoints, including the animated ones, but restricted to the Russian weapons that the Sukhoi would carry. There will be some new Russian missile products required.

Hope you like it, it will be uploaded next week after final testing. I might have to do some static versions for this one later.

American Airlines - Boeing 777-223ER

Oh look out! What's this?

An American Airlines Boeing 777-223ER coming in to land.

Landing just before it was the One World variant of the same Airline.

The two aircraft pull into consecutive gates.

These two shiny beasts have been taking up way too much of my time for a couple of months now. I've had a couple of restarts on both of them. There's been some Vulcan magic sprinkled on them as well. Along with the more obvious shiny fuselage, the flashing lights have been added to the aircraft start sequence, and Vulcan has done some work to fix the wheels digging into the runway on flaring.I hope you like them because they've cost me a lot of time & frustration.

They are now available on DLS.

Those are beyond amazing Rob. I love how you managed to get that fuselage so shiny. 2 to complement those amazing new livery 737 and 767's you kindly made upon my request.

Thanks for the encouragement uracco. I'm glad you like them. It will hopefully tick another request off Bob's list.
I can't take credit for the shiny body. That's a pinch of Vulcan magic dust. All I did was clone the underlying colours from his Superfortress. That was the first of the Super Shiny models (I think).
I have an AA B777 in the new livery on my list but so far American have only repainted a couple of B777-300 aircraft. I'll get to it but have a few others ahead of it so I hope you can live with the older paint job for the time being.

Aircraft festival today!

This one is an Airbus A320 of Austrian Airlines. Great improvement, the model is startup type, just like Rob's American Airlines 777.

Approved by the DLS, to be available soon.
