New Aircraft

Well Pascal, if you're insisting, I'll have a Korean Air as well!

Went to the Paris Air Show in the early 90's and thoroughly enjoyed it. A lot of walking and crowds - wouldn't get round there now.

Thanks again
Bob

I went to the Paris Air Show today. Very intersting between sunshine and showels. I hope I didnt ruin my camera!

Vinnybarb, one of these could be my next.. Nok Air for example, but not the ATR72; not yet manufactured by Vulcan's factories.

Less funny livery, this Korean Air B777-200:

The Asiana B77 has been re-uploaded due to a small issue on the landing gear doors. Not so visible, but I had to fix it. Sorry for that.

Thanks Vulcan for adding the F-35 to Your list. And can you make one of the F-35s in RNoAF (Royal Norwegian Air Force) colours you will blow my mind, so please.
Here is some pictures if anyone want to make it in this phase. You can search
on Google: RNoAF F-35 or RNoAF. The F-35 colour is the same as the F-16 colour, but it is diffrent numbers on the tail. As I wrote, I hope you can make the F-35 in RNoAF scheme. Rob725, I have red Your tutorial. I will soon try to re-skin some Norwegian models by myself, only on my computer just to test and if it goes well I will try to get a approval by Vulcan to upload them. I precheating what you have done and that you share a better tutorial than Trainz made, but is it unable to use YOUR tutorial in Trainz 2009? I am sorry if my English is a bit bad, but I`ll try my best.

After some technical troubles, the Boeing 787 flies again, like this LOT (Polish Airlines) aircraft.

Everything down, ready for landing:

Thanks to Vulcan for this nice model.

The LOT reskin is approved by the DLS and should be available soon.

Thanks Pascal, I feel London Millennium Airport will be receiving some new operators soon. Asiana have started their service from Seoul Incheon and Busan Gimhae, LOT from Warsaw Chopin and Krakow and finally Vietnam from Ho Chi Min and Hanoi

I've been thinking - yes I can be quite dangerous sometimes.

With all the new aircraft recently produced by Ian and the paint jobs done on them by Pascal and Rob, I'm thinking that IF - and it's a big if - Ian felt like producing just a few more aircraft types, then as a project, a full day's Heathrow operation correct to operator and aircraft type would be feasible in the long term and in the short term a realistic looking "first edition" model could be uploaded to the DLS - maybe as a game.

It would mean that I need continuing help with re-skins - even though I intend to try and do some myself, I will need time to achieve an acceptable standard for anything put onto DLS and in any event I would need to wipe the 300 or so aircraft I use and reuse now, and create the actual schedule of 513 individual aircraft as true to type and colours as possible and ensure they run without more signalling or programming problems.

These are the remaining aircraft types that would be needed for the final version along with suggested colours:-
Airbus 300-600 eg 9K-AMD Kuwait
Airbus 330-300 eg A4O-DE Oman
Airbus 340-500 eg A6-EHC Etihad
Boeing 757-200 eg TF-FIJ Icelandair
Embraer 145 eg G-RJXC British Airways
Embraer 190 eg SP-LNB Polish
Fokker 100 eg HB-JVC Swiss
Fokker 70 eg PH-KZP KLM Cityhopper

I feel that to give a visual impact to a first edition, these aircraft types would need some of these colours:-
Airbus 320 Alitalia British Airways Swiss TAP Portugal Tyrolean
Airbus 321 Finnair Iberia Agean
Airbus 330-200 Qatar South African
Beoing 777-200 British Airways American (old c/s)
Boeing 777-300 Jet Airways India
Boeing 767-400 Delta (old c/s)
Boeing 737-800 KLM standard colours
Airbus 340-600 Virgin Atlantic
Airbus 340-300 Virgin Atlantic

Looks a lot I know.

I've no idea how much interest there would be from trainzers but how do we feel about this as a project? Maybe the model could be - "Be Heathrow's Ground Control Supervisor for the day - watch those AI pilots do as the're told and sort out the mess if they don't" kind of game with a camera perched on top of the control tower.

In addition to Stagecoach, who produced the base model I started with, there are a lot of aircraft inherited with it from cj187, nzms and iced8383 who don't seem to be active on here since I started. Obviously full credit would be given to them and yourselves in the Route description on the start page - or "publish" it as a joint project - I really don't mind.

Just some thoughts - I understand if you don't want to commit or want to do other things. I'm thinking it really hinges on Ian at present because otherwise we can't achieve the 100% representation. My plan B is to wait a while until the older aircraft are phased out and the 787's and BA A380's come on stream. In the meantime I am quite happy pretending Silk Air 320's are actually Finnair and TAP 727's are actually 320's! The more time goes on though, the more boring it gets - Heathrow changing rapidly into a grid layout - aircraft types disappearing - airlines disappearing under mergers - things are not what they used to be !!!

Bob

Bob, I love that idea. I am as much into aircraft as trains, and a real life accurate session would be a great addition to the ever expanding library of aircraft related assets. Also I am fairly certain that there is a B772 in BA livery. Or is that a B773? Either way, I downloaded a BA 777 yesterday.

Well, Bob, this is a very ambitious project. There are not so many these days.

I am OK to bring some support in re-skinning a max of those missing planes.

But, if I count well, you need 16 skins at first, and 8 for the final version. quite important figures!
And the Fokker 100/70, B757, Embraer 145/190 dont exist for the time beeing.

So be patient, I have also to take care of my garden, and some holydays to enjoy..

Pascal

Just to clarify Pascal - the first group of 8 were for new models, i.e. for Ian to produce which is why I say it hinges on Ian whether it's feasible at moment.

The second group of 17 are reskins on existing types.

Not all of these would be necessary to make a "first edition"

Anyway, I've had my holidays so why should anyone else have one ? :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

Seriously, I don't want anyone to feel pressured into doing this - only do it if you want to (and in your own time)

Thanks for your comments uracco - lets see just what comment comes in over the next few days.

Bob

Hi Vinny, thanks

We had a pic in the local paper yesterday of the aircraft at the Paris airshow, interesting. I guess Trainz cannot simulate its performance and aerobatics. :)

Ian

Good to see the Canadians at Bombardier have got their act together and released the first CSeries prototype. I find it funny how competes with B737-600 which is an aircraft no longer in production. As for the Airbus A350, wow just wow. It will be interesting to see how if fares compared to the 787. This years so full of rivalries such as the 787 vs the A350, the PS4 vs the Xbox One etc. I feel the A350 will be another aircraft on vulcans order list (pretty please :p). Also ,for your 787, if you press the pantograph key a smoke effect issues from the battery compartment :hehe:

Can you drop soliders out from the C-130? I`m just wondering, because I am on vacation in Denmark and I saw some F-16s flying along the beach and a Hercules dropping six solider out from the back.

Srry 4 my bad ENG!

And now a left turn.

I think I may leave the 787 for a while, and go to less recent airliners.. May be..

Thanks for the Qatar 787 - another new operator colour scheme for my model. No 787's were flying into Heathrow by July 2012 so I'm happy for you to go back to earlier types. There's obviously no interest in the idea of a game so lets just continue as before - can you treat the second list in my post # 2907 as my up to date wish list? Really do appreciate the stuff you produce and beginning to turn my mind to doing something myself.

uracco
You would need to ask Ian (Vulcan) for those types. Papou re-skins the models that Ian produces. Thanks for responding to my earlier post but there is obviously no other interest out there.

Ian (Vulcan)
Could you treat the first list in my post # 2907 as my up to date wish list? particularly the Boeing 757-200 and the Fokker 100 (essentially the same as uracco's request for a Fokker 28). Maybe also one of the Embraers. If you could eventually produce these types and I get into re-skinning, I could still fully complete my project. I would try and do the modelling myself, but not sure what type of glue I need to stick the polys together :he:

Thanks to all
Bob

Pascal - the second list in post # 2907 above should read as a wish list between you and Rob725 between you.

Yes an Embraer and an F28/70/100 Tay series of aircraft would be fantastic. Also, that request was sort of me talking to myself if you get what I mean. On top of that, a DC8 would fantastic as well.
