New Aircraft

Yes I use Flight Sim, for some aircraft, I can then work out how the landing gear works. :)

Making models for Flight Sim is a different process, able to use large textures and more polys then Trainz to do a much better model. I have not taken up that pursuit yet. I like to push the boundaries in Trainz, though there are limitations.

Nice little airplane, Ian! Many thanks.

I am preparing some liveries for various air forces which have been using the Mirage.
The III O is very similar in dimensions to the III E used in France or those delivered to other countries.

It can also represent the earlier Mirage III C, like this one: Escadron "Seine" based at Creil Air Base, near Paris:

I need to work on the silver shade and a few details before upload.

A319 - Spirit Airlines

could you do this next?

Nice work on the Mirage Ian & Pascal!

The Spirit A319 has been uploaded to DLS & should be available shortly. Not surprisingly it looks very much like Maynard's A320.
M00se, you asked for it & ye shall have....

Nice work, Rob. Will you make the A321 as well?

The Mirage IIIC has just been uploaded. Thanks to Ian, who could fix the aluminium shade issue.
Other liveries are in the pipe.

Thanks Pascal,

There doesn't appear to be any Spirit A321's in that paint scheme. I will maybe do the grey/black Spirit colours on the A321. That scheme only exists on the A319 & A321. The A319 in the grey paint scheme won't work because of the way the texture mapping is organised around the wing/fuselage bulge (difficult to explain).

I'll be off the grid for a couple of weeks now (holiday in New Zealand) so I won't get to it for a while.

Coming soon, the F-16:

f16_100.jpg

It has the usual animated missiles, able to be changed as products.

It can use a drag chute and flaring for landing. Read the config for the various animated action settings using the Aircraft Action Trigger.

Yes, Gordon, nice work, particularly with the complexity of the body shape.
And so many possibilities for re-skinning!
Thanks Ian.

Hi,

Back to the sixties, with this Mirage III C of Escadron 1/2 Cigognes, Dijon Longvic France.

This reskin in already approved by the DLS.

Hello

Soon at the DLS, a pair of reskins:

Mirage III-E Escadron Lafayette, Luxeuil. This is an early version with natural metal surfaces. A camo version should follow.

Thanks to Ian for those nice models.

Next in my pipeline: other European F16s and some helicopters..

Hi,

You may have noticed that Ian recently uploaded a new model: The Chance-Vough F8 Crusader.

Here is a reskin of this aircraft, with the markings of the french navy before 1973.

Already available at the DLS.

Nice models Ian. I particularly like the F-16.

And Pascal.. As always you have done some quality re-paints.

I've opened my paintshop again after a trip to New Zealand & my precious spare time in the evenings taken up with photo sorting, posting & blogging.
The first (and this is very early days) is one of a number of Richard Bransen's Australasian fleet that I'm working on at the moment. It was an advertising variant a while back.
