New Aircraft

Hi John, I understand, I was alluding to the issues that need to be addressed to make it work and look realistic (starting an aircraft).

The engine sound plays all the time by default, using one of the .wav files, depending on speed. For one of my helicopters I did use a start.wav file, which winds up the engine when you enter Driver, then plays the appropriate files based on speed. Unfortunately I don't know how to trigger the engine sound on and off, based on keys or some other method.

For the animations, it would be easy to stop and start a propeller using a keystroke, I use the system quite a lot to trigger animations. You could have a very quiet engine sound for the idle1.wav file, trigger he animation then it would use the idle2.wav file when you get up some speed.

Send me a pm John with an email address if you would like me to discuss more details.

Hi Gordon, haven't done any Russian yet, one day perhaps.

Ian, Good Luck with the Anatonov An-225. It holds the record for the world's largest aircraft! Also well done on your current batch of aircraft, you continue to impress me (and many others) with your work and knowledge.

Me again,
Just finished (again) the 737 C-40:

Hi Patricia, pleased you like the Pilatus.

NZMS, the aircraft looks good. Only two engines, hope they are not Trent engines.

The Piper Seneca is now available. It can do aerobatic rolls, just for fun.

I was asked to do an invisible airport, this is available now also. It is two loading tracks, with a passenger queue at right angles to the tracks at ground level. It is suitable for placing on a bitumen textured ground, for light aircraft that load at ground level.

The Queue services both tracks, it is about 40 metres long with 34 attachment points. The asset tracks when placed shows the two track (one close to the passengers, the other further out for larger aircraft) using the yellow pavement line. If you do not want this to show, just join an invisible track to it and it will vanish.

While the asset is height adjustable this is not that useful, if you raise the passengers the track goes up too.

Anyway, I though the request was a good idea, it lets you make a loading facility for commercial aircraft for country airports. It is called "Airport Invisible - Passenger Loading Line"

No, I am working on commercial and military airports to unload cargo, but having problems combining passengers as well, and with some special Chinook loads.

Ian

Vulcan's invisible airport will be very useful. Other possibilities for small aircraft such as the Otter are Andi06's AJS Tram stop 2 and 3. These have a crowd rather than a queue and if you set the passenger distance to the maximum (18) they are a reasonable distance from the aircraft for a small local airfield.

A RNZAF Herc was practising wet-weather touch and goes at Tauranga today:

The USAF Gulfstreams have been processed and should be available tommorow.

Oh dear, I was taking pity on Gordon having to use all those Australian versions in Kiwi country and did a RNZAF version of the Herc yesterday- looks just like yours NZMS.

Anyway, this will be a special edition with new animations, nearly got the bugs out.

Hi Ian,

Although not 'active' the past few weeks (mainly due to not as yet being able to install TS2010 nor TRS2004 properly), I'm still alive!.

Your work on animated engine start-up/shut-down, & associated sound complexities is noted & very much appreciated.

Over the next few days I have some deck-clearing to do, then will put together a request to Auran & forum for assistance to get me back up & running with Trainz!.:'(:(

I will have fun scouring the past several months of DLS stuff, for new additions. Really looking forward to finally migrating our route (Narrandera_Tocumwal) project across to TS2010 too. :)

Thanks to everyone for the magnificent progress wonderful work & input into air-Trainz (cheeky grin):hehe:, which in fact moves Trainz forward (unlike some political people) in a giant leap for all Trainz-kind.

Hi Everyone,

I have been away for a few days at the Doctors requests and not just from the computer:hehe:. I stayed at a nice Hotel, good food, room service with some very lovely ladies running around helping everyone else out and did not cost me a cent :hehe:.

Anyway, I am now back in the land of the living and have looked back over the past many pages. There has been some great screenshots and work by everyone, especially Ian.

I'll have to start work again on my Orlando Airport and catch up to everyone else.
