New Aircraft

Good afternoon everyone.

Although I much prefer route building and tranquility , barnstorming one of my routes with the Spitfires was strangely satisfying. An hour very well spent.

It’s quality stuff like these assets that makes the DLS worth every penny. (BTW, I do know it’s got the stutters and stops on it today).

Thank you Auran.

Thank you Ian (Vulcan). Nice work. I envy your skills.

Cheers
Casper

..now writing a letter of complaint to the Ministry of Defence regarding the dangers of low flying, noise in the community , having to sell the
cottage etc..

G'day!

@vulcan. We need some more Luftwaffe Aircraft such as the ME-262, V-1 Buzz Bomb, JU-52, JU-87 etc so we can re-create WW2 style Trainz and Planez routes! :D *Imagines Air Raid sirens going off as the British hammer the German aircraft trying to bomb everything* I'm sorry... :hehe:

Cheers! :)
Jake.

Of course, you're absolutely right Rastis. We need all of those, but more than anything we need something that actually sounds like an air-raid siren...
And then an action trigger setting that lets the aircraft you've just shot fall spiralling to the ground below...

Happy Planezing,;)
Scott.

Don't forget the fire and smoke with the pilot bailing out and being taken hostage.(no offence to the pilot it was probably alistair if you ask me):hehe:
I am aware the alistair jokes are wearing off. :)

I'd love to see an animated paradrop. Maybe set at 300 meters or so, that has a plane slowly moving over an area dropping paratroopers, then looping back around and landing. After a few minutes it takes off again and repeats the process. Kinda like a very large version of the animated tractors. Mostly because I don't want to have to add more baseboards to my already growing route to simulate this with actual drivable planes.

Having said that, anyone got suggestions for a sod landing strip?

English Southern Coast (1024 x 860 pixels)

Hi Planezers of Trainz.

Here, as promised, are some progress shots of my new 1940's themed route, English Southern Coast. (Warning 1024 x 860)

England1.jpg

The charming seaside village of Bournemouth-on-Sea. Memorial on the left, and a jetty/pier on the right.

England2.jpg

A close-up view of the local service station, back when they actually gave service.

England3.jpg

The hefty WIP that is the Bournemouth bomber airfield. That's just one of the hangars that will be built here.

England4.jpg

Finally, another view of the town with a trio of Hawker Hurricanes in "vic" formation returning from patrol. Their base is a few miles west of here, in the as-yet unnamed and unbuilt town of What-should-i-call-it.:hehe:

Hope you enjoyed, and Happy Planezing.
Just wait till I get some planes in the air....
Scottling.;)

My Heathrow Airport has now reached about a third of the way done. Terminal 5 and 4 are in place plus the cargo and maintanance area. All the southern half has the taxiways completed with runway 27L - 09R in full operation. I really do need some signs for the taxiways and runways so they can have the right information on them for each cross over area. Had a go but did not get very far. Minitrix has some but you cant change the letters/numbers. Anyone know of any somewhere in our midst? Screenshots of the Airport can be found on the Heathrow Airport thread.

t took me 4 years to figure out how to post screenshots(i feel so stupid)

see if anyone can guess this airport still pretty early stages

All of my runways except for the few that are splines for planning are made with textures

First i fill an area how wide i want the whole thing to be including the extions to the side

Next i use a lighter texture to fill in some of the middle squares

Add the marking lines and invisible trak
And there you have

Still can anyone guess this huge airport here is a hint 6 runways One of the busiest airports in the world

Thanks josh

You may be right Jake, Chicago certainly is a huge Airport with the right number of Runways. I looked at a few others in Google Earth and they did not fit.

If it is Chicago O'hare Airport it will be an interesting project to see.

no not chicago but that will be one of my next ones

Think Eastern Seabord european traffic hub

P.S. the tower might give it away

OK Josh, I have used Google Earth to search, I have Googled various things for flight paths and still can not find one with 6 Runways.

The only other major one on the East Coast I found was LaGuardia but that does not have 6 runways, though it looked like it had a nice Tower.

:hehe::hehe::hehe:

Alright the answer is

...................................Boston Logan Intl Airport

They just added their sixth runway in 2006 i believe
