Need help with Content Manager

Hey guys, I see loads of cool stuff in my CM, but I still cant download anything. i turned off my anti virus and firewall, and still not able to download. It is CM ver. 3.3 for TS2010. are there any updates for the program?

And i hear ya about "go buy a FCT." Well, i dont have the money right now, though i believe i'm entitled to some downloads since i paid $41 for the game directly from N3V.

well chris, i was just looking at other threads, and other people are having problems with the DLS, so im guessing it probally crashed.

what im seeing is if i go into CM, there are about 1100 assets to download. if i click and drag one to the download list, then click start, it stops immediately, and a yellow bar at the bottom pops up and says "unable to download, the server appears to be full."

now if i download something from a 3rd party site, it downloads fine, and i can see the asset in trainz, but its shown as faulty (red text). ive tried a couple od different downloads from different sites just to be sure, and all get the same result.

so what im guessing is whether you download something from auran/ DLS, or a 3rd party site, as the content passes through CM, it has to contact auran's server for some reason. and im guessing the reason is to verify if the content is legit.

What errors are those assets showing? Right click and choose View Errors and Warnings for each of them, and post them here.

Okay, I'll pass this on to our admin.

If you're getting faulty content from 3rd party sites, that has nothing to do with our servers.

Sorry, But a FCT is the way to go. The "Free" servers are usually busy and quite slow. The issue with 3rd party downloads are missing dependencies. Items such as bogies, horns, cabs, etc. are either separate downloads or found on the DLS or even some other site.

Problem with content downloader

Hi guys, I bought the 2012 trainz pack through steam just the other day for my son in the hope I could download a tram skin for him as he loves trams.
I found a skin and bought it from a place called paulz trains. he sent the file and the next step was to use the content downloader program to import the cdp file.
Problem is that the content downloader won't open when I click the button. I have entered my account details correctly as the in game auto download content stuff is working. I have not been able to find any error events from the times I have clicked on the link to open content manager. It just doesn't open.
I'm running windows 7, no firewalls to worry about.

Usually, Content Manager failing to open is usually due to either:

1.Outdated graphics drivers
2.Not running Trainz as administrator (see my tutorial website for instructions on how to fix this one)
