Narrow gauge screenshots

Hello all,
Here's a couple form a test map of mine, called Gilpin Creek.
Being a 2-foot mining theme using Gilpin Tram stuff and having used it to test mines built for both the Gilpin Tram and the Cripple Creek areas it seemed like a suiting name.
Looking downstream near upper church.
Looking downstream a little further down at lower bridge, near upper church.
Looking upstream towards upper church.
This is an old TRS2004 map updated to TS2009 and continues to be my main test map for stuff I play around with when I feel for it - hence lot of the stuff in here is still of the "old school" look & feel.
Still, I decided to share these few scenes in case it might bring some joy to someone. :wave:

Also Bobber, don't hold your hopes to high, I'm not working per say, as more playing with Surveyor and dreaming about stuff I've yet to build as I don't feel for building them yet...
Did those two cars I sent you work fine BTW - even if they wasn't truly how you needed them?
colorado71 - You asked about the boulders, and the ones I uses is part of the Payware set by Sirgibby called rocks something. They are of the splines type, but he also has "loose" rocks in various colors and set ups.
The river is also his, from his River set.
I love his stuff, even if it is payware - saves me from make stuff my self, and it looks rather nice being made from the "old school" modeling pre TS2009 stuff with normals and all.

Wow Linda, That looks great! I love the rugged look of the terrain. I made a DEM of the Colorado Central (Clear Creek Division) this "look" would be right at home there.
I'm a full supporter of payware. I've had (and lost due to a hard drive crash) Mikes content in the past and it's great stuff. I need to stroll over there and pick it up again one day.
BTW: Keep the old school look. I bought '09 and after playing around for a while, never opened it again. The 5 meter boards are nice, but for me it's not worth the hassle. You're great with Gmax and '04. Why reinvent the wheel?

You know, the views are from TS2009..
I love the 5m grid, I want it even better for my narrow, narrow gauge + I need and want, and would beg for hours and do almost whatever I was asked to do, to get a dighole for the 5m grid (Auran listen please... ) so I can fully forget that old 10m awful large grid size.
But, most of the stuff I made works fine in TS2009, and I hardly go back to TRS2004 (sorry Rick) except if I need to - like the Dolly Varden short adventure. (I await a new version of TransDEM later this year I hope, that will take advantage of the 5m grid, so I can put it into TS2009 and use it as a base for a mining route, as I loved the rugged landscape on that map :wave:
)
The map this images are from was based on part of a DEM from southwest of Cripple Creek in Colorado, just modified some in the valley where this river run.
I would have loved to show more, but I hate painting ground as I'm very bad at it, and this was about the only scenes that was mostly presentable.
Oh, one more thing Rick, in TS2009 I can have much better looking track, for less stress on the computer - only stress on me as a creator to figure out that new track system fully...
Teasing you in a good way - you been/are among my best friends and I can fully understand your feel for TRS2004 and all the fun that brings.
I just love the grid and the new track system, and will survive without camera placement control (as I had that near perfect in TRS2004).
Anybody with TS2009 who are a good painter of grounds wanting to paint this for me... :wave:

Now, excuse me, I go back to my "new old" life, getting on top of my growing pile of Cripple Creek info and then maybe some Trainz related stuff in between once a month or so. LOL

At least you're keeping the dream alive. Someday TS9 will get to be were it's supposed to be - not yet but someday. I'm getting back into it and actually started testing some steam locos in TS9. I was going to do it in TC3 beta but like you real life takes precedence whether we want it to or not.
Always loved those spline trestles and fill track you made and a lot of other innovated stuff. Your content still looks wonderful. Now trying to get your industries to work for Northbay release that was another story.
@Rick I'm still working my version of the EBT sometimes it gets set aside for 9-12 months but I keep coming back to it. I figure after I retire I'll get more time to work on it - rest of my life most likely. Often wondered how you made out with your version.

It's strange there isn't more interest here in the EBT. It appears that you and I are about the extent of the fan club.
The EBT would make a great group project like the folks did on the DHR especially if an earlier time period was done when logging was involved. There would be something for everyone. Mining, logging, passenger and limited freight.... Everyone except maybe Linda. As soon as you put a little green on the map, she's gone and even the mining part can't lure her back out of her gold mine...LOL.

If you have TRS2006 or newer, this can be a problem.
This cab won't install in anything else than TRS2004. (its packed with locomotive)
I've heard that some people managed to install it somehow.
This screenshot was made in TRS 2004.
If you have TRS04 and its not working because you have just a repaint, install the original from here:

I see you used Highland Valley Railroad Route for these shots since I see some simalarites between the senery.
After getting that derailment cleaned up. The Steam town, MN branch is back in business.
And the mallet is back on its wheels pulling a passenger train on the main.
Thats all. Did I mention that this is going to be part of the Black Water?
