N3V Error checking does it work OK?

Trainz drove me crazy
Recently received an email from N3V that a few of my items are now considered "faulty". These show no errors in either TR2010 or in TS12. Very odd, also were validated as error free when uploaded about a year ago. As N3V's email doesn't say what these supposed error are and none show in CMP, leave a bloke a bit stumped as to what exactly needs fixing if anything. Maybe it's N3V's error checking that's at fault?

mcguirel apparently got a similar email and I checked one of the assets in question personally. It was in perfect working order with no errors at all.

I had some flagged recently, and it seems the only error was a missing file extension I'm the screen shot name. I had to ask in the forum if anyone could find the error. Bear in mind that the DLS error checking routine is not the same code as the validation routines in CM. They can get out of sync. It's also possible that the DLS routines are checking for things that the next patch will start flagging up. All the same, it would be great to get an error message in the e-mail....

Hi All
If you see a false 'positive' with the 'clean up' system, please email the helpdesk using the following email address: auransupport(at)auran(dot)com

I will keep an eye on the emails department for tickets regarding this tomorrow and next week.

There have been a couple of false 'positives', these do not need to be updated. If the error is indeed correct, then I will let you know what errors are involved.

When you send the email, please include a copy of the email you receive, so that we can check it for you.

I'll post a copy of this as a sticky in the DLS forum.

Thanks

I've gotten 2 lists with about 10 items each. All had real errors tho they weren't the kind that would have prevented the item from working. More like minor typos, etc. Only took a little while to correct and re-upload.
