N3V Downunder Winter Sale Starts/Ends ? ? ?

I have noticed on the N3V Store especially, it never states the Exact Date when a Sale Starts, and states the Exact Date when a Sale Ends on the website

Also on allot of other 3rd party sites (JR, RRMODs ... etc ...) it rarely states the Exact Date when a Sale Starts, and Sale Ends on most websites

It would be very helpful if all websites stated the Exact Date when a Sale Starts, and Exact Date when a Sale Ends on the website

Of course when ordering from N3V you have to factor in the Time Zone difference, as today, is now tomorrow, in Australia, with a + 14 hour time difference (depending on your location)

Winter has arrived today with an icy blast and temperatures as low as 16C/61F - Brrrrrr. It put me off a visit to the beach today. A good day to check out the online Winter Sales.

Its a good tactic to not state that the "Sale ends on ..." - it keeps the punters coming back to check - it keeps 'em guessing.

Plus you pointed out one problem in your post. If they state that the sale ends "Midnight Sunday" then you have time zone and date line problems. There will also be some-one who complains bitterly that it is still "only 10:00am Sunday here so the sale has to go for another 14 hours". We should do what the Russian Railways do, all clocks from St Petersburgh to Vladivostok are on Moscow time.

Edit: It is all relative. This morning I heard a news report about a farmer in Scotland complaining about the "heatwave" that he and his cattle were experiencing. He was worried about the possible effects - heat exhaustion and heat stroke. The temperature was a positively sizzling 14/15C.

This "Downunder Winter Sale" has great prices of up to 75% off ... It does make a big difference of exactly when the date Sale Started, and exactly when the date it Ends ... If the Sale ends on the June 30th, Melbourne Aus time zone, I have to make immediate purchase today, as it is already Saturday there ... But, If the Sale continues on into the 1st to 4th of July, I will purchase next week, as my bank gives me a discount waiver of $6.95 maintenance fees for the month of July, if I purchase in July

N3V please advise us of what date the "Downunder Winter Sale" ends in Melbourne Aus time zone

The latest newsletter states that the sale ENDS THIS WEEKEND. So I would presume that means midnight Sunday 1st July Melbourne/Sydney/Brisbane (AEST) time. When summer daylight saving is in effect, Brisbane is 1 hour behind Melbourne/Sydney, but as it is now winter (downunder) that no longer applies.

G'day, I was going to purchase the Trainz Route: Coal Country advertisied at $27.21 AUD but when I went to purchase it was $28.24 and being a pensioner every little bit counts so it's a no go for me. The price they advertise should be the price it sells for, just need to check before you commit.
Regards
Barrie

Gremlin1812/ Barrie - As far as I'm aware - all the prices shown should be in US$ these days, so that conversion sounds about right...
It's still at a 50% discount right now, showing as being available at USD19.99. Sale ends this weekend.

For one whole measley dollar difference ... You could have gone to MickyD's and bought a sausage bisquit ... and the correct price for Coal Country is $19.99 USD

I din't want to miss out (again) ... I am now the proud owner of T:ANE SP2

Bought allot of stuff:

PRR X23 Boxcar-$2.99
Nickel Plate High Speed Freight Set $4.00
US ATC Class S 160 Steam $5.00
Chinese Electric SS4 Locomotive Pack $4.00
Trainz A New Era SP2 Windows / Digital Download / Standard $9.99

A lot of JR stuff is $1.50 ... WoW !

I have a whole slew of N3V, K&L, and JR payware ... tired of seeing it sitting there, unused

Last time I missed out on a 75% off sale, I was really ticked off ... Only happens @ every 3 years or so, so git' busy !

It is already Sunday in Melbourne Aus ... So you are running out of time to order

cascaderailroad - Great to see T:ANE as part of your time-line at long last!
Nickel Plate and the Chinese SS4 are both really superb assets (at bargain prices) to show off using your new T:ANE installation.
Enjoy!

Anyone else buy anything at the "N3V Downunder Winter Sale" ?

It's presently a balmy 39°F in Melbourne, and -96°F in Vostock

Snow had not fallen in Melbourne's suburbs since June 25, 1986, while the last major Melbourne snowfall was in 1951.

Coldest temperature: 27°F, 21 July 1869

It is already Sunday morning in Melbourne ... Not sure exactly when the sale ends

[TD] Good Day, all..

As per the question on end of Sale, all it says "THIS IS THE LAST WEEKEND" so if there in Australia, then that means by there Time Period which is not the same as PACIFIC Time for California?

Now for taking advantage of the Sale, I went Banana's because I have missed tons of these sales, so lots of these thing's I got below, where items I wanted 1-2 years ago, and never paid close enough attention to purchase when a good sale came along,,my bad of course, you snooze you lose....LOL

I am very happy with what a got today, and I'm on my last FCT Card so it was time to get one again..........

Took me 3 separate orders as I had to check my inventory and make sure I didn't already have some these items and buy them when I didn't really need too.........

Being in California, I remember the :mop::mop::mop: Pre SP merge livery when they SP changed their Paint Scheme and then the Merge was not accepted......Go Figure.....But now I'll have that special Paint Scheme to run on some of my Routes. Pretty darn Cool......:udrool::udrool:

And I always had an interest in the Blue Comet Train, pure Vintage and classic Train to own.........Yeee Hawwww......

Below are all the items I bought........Money well spent I think.......
