My New Trainz Application will not open

I purchased Trainz about a month ago and gave it to my son for Christmas. I just installed it today and it will not open. I am running on a mac pro using 10.6.8.

Is there any standard procedure for obtaining tech support? Should I be able to count on eventually getting this to work or ask for a refund? Thank you for any help. I am completely green on this. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums.

Firstly, can you register your serial number - the link for doing this is above.

Once this is done, what are your computer specifications?

I am aware that driver updates only come as part of operating system updates on Mac, so you may need to do one of them.

EDIT EDIT: As stated below, you need to register your serial number, as the Trainz Mac forum is likely to have your solution.

Tech support is on a limited service at the moment as N3V are closed for the holidays.
 
Yes, it said I cannot access that page so it must be just because they are closed. here is the serial number. I took it out. I thank you. I thought this was needed.


Thanks for responding so fast. You must be real train enthusiasts. My son sure it. This will make his year if I can get it to work. I am currently reinstalling the program. Who knows maybe it will work.

I suggest you edit your serial number from the forum.
Not a good idea to disclose this. (hackers and such).

Serial number needs entering in your profile using the link at the top of the forum, you then get access to the help desk, as said better remove it from the forum as it may get pinched by someone.

Also, once you register your serial number you will have access to the MAC FORUM.

I know there is an issue with certain video cards and the Mac version of Trainz. I have a Mac mini with Radeon HD 6630M video which I understand currently will not work with Trainz for Mac. Good luck!!
 
I never really thought about this before but, it's kinda a catch 22 that these guys can't acess the mac support thread. Isn't it? I mean sounds like tsmac might not even run with their system setup and once they register their serial number,... well, probably pretty hard to get your money back. :o
 
That's my problem exactly. I haven't bought Trainz for Mac yet as it does not work with my video (Radeon HD 6630M). I've been trying to find out if Auran has fixed this yet. My computer has built in video so it can't be changed.
