Hi Trainzers,

I am pleased to announce my new Trainz-related forum. Be aware that this is a new venture for me, so bear with me if there are any issues on there. I am looking for moderators though - PM me if you are interested (make sure you've registered first though).

Be aware that registration requires a valid email address and activation, and your IP will be checked to prevent spam. This will happen automatically though.

I welcome all feedback relating to my new forum. Note that just because I have a new forum does not mean I will not be on other forums.

The address for the new forum is in the thread in my signature.

Shane,
I registered for your new forum but was unable to activate my registration as the link for activation failed when I "clicked" on it. My fault or a glitch in the software?

Let me check that one for you. I can manually activate the account if there's a problem on that front.

Shane

EDIT: I've manually activated your account activerail. Cascade - if you are having problems activating let me know, so I can sort it out.

A note here - it seems that certain users are having problems with activation. If you are having problems activating your account, please let me know as I can manually activate accounts on the forum. If you are having problems registering, also let me know so I can check the logs.

Shane

Thankyou Craig. Hopefully no-one has any issues with the activation process (apart from possibly link problems which I can deal with).

I now have sufficient global moderators for the forum, but I can keep a list of possible moderators that I can call on if the forums get busy (which I'm hoping will happen).

Sounds good. I will be monitoring my forum anyway in order to make sure there's no trouble, and to answer any questions people may have.

Looks like it's got 21 members so far since I started this topic - that's good going I'd say, although the more, the merrier I'd say (it will come in useful for when these forums are down, just like the KD7EIR or British Trainz forums which I also participate in as well.

Shane

P.S. A reminder to those registering - you will need to check your email for a message from websiteform (at) shaneturner12.awardspace.co.uk. This message will contain a link to activate your account. If the link is not working or you do not get the email, let me know as I can manually activate accounts.

EDIT: Make that 22, and one user still to activate.

Thank you Ken. There's a forum specifically for member introductions as well, and hopefully you will enjoy things on my new forum.

Shane

Hi Shane , my registration went well but i can't post a topic at the "new Members" area .Altough i have activated the link from my mail.

Let me check your permissions, as you should be able to post in that forum. Does it say that you are not able to at the bottom?

Shane

EDIT: Your permissions are correct, so you should be able to post in that forum.

Leksie - are you getting any specific error messages when attempting to post in my forum? Looking at your permissions, there is nothing that should prevent you posting in that forum.

Shane

They may have been, yes. At the moment though, I'm mainly dealing with mine (and I believe it's mainly financial help that TPR is requiring).
