Multiple "Driver Setup" rules

In the early days I used to have multiple driver setup rule, multiple rules now appear not to be recognised.
Would someone please confirm or otherwise whether multiple Driver Setup rules are allowed.
If not allowed how does one merge them into one set.

In the early days if you had a session with "too many" drivers in your Driver Setup Rule then Trainz could not process them all in a single step with the result that some of the drivers were not activated. The solution was to use multiple (usually only one extra) Driver Setup Rule which was in a Simultaneous List or Ordered List Rule preceded by a short delay. This gave Trainz enough time to process the first Driver Setup Rule before tackling the second.

This "workaround" did have a number of issues - one of which was the possibility of accidentally duplicating drivers and locos in the different Driver Setup Rules.

Today, I have not heard of any session where this workaround was still necessary as improvements to the operation of the session rules seems to have eliminated its need. I do not know if it is still possible to do it or not.

Unfortunately, I do not know of any method to merge two rules together. My first suggestion would be to leave the two Driver Setup Rules as they are and run some tests to see if both are still fully activated.

Thank you for the response.
What are "Simultaneous List" and "Ordered List" rule
Simultaneous rules are rules that are all run at the same time. in the edit session screen it means all the rules that are on the left hand side of the screen.

Ordered list are rules that are 1 tab across to the right and are run 1 after the other until there are no more rules in the list.

check out the rules and have fun playing with them.

Not quite.

All the session rules that are flush up against the left hand margin of the Session Editor are all executed simultaneously - although some rules will take longer to execute than others.

There are also special rules that allow session designers to create groups of rules that can be executed simultaneously (without being flush up against the left margin) or in a set sequence, one after the other. These are the Simultaneous List Rule and Ordered List Rule plus a few others.

What i typed was close enough for someone starting out with session rules, they can learn from there.......

I have been using Driver Setup for many years but not the Parent_child rules.
I always added additional Driver Setup rules to separate my sessions, which to me made them more manageable.
This appeared to work fine until, if my memory is correct, one of the TRS 2019 updates messed up my North Yorkshire sessions.
I will now have to move all my Session setups to one Driver Setup listing.

Hi all,

I use 7 separate drivers setups using the indented notation with a seperation of a wait of 1 second, in trs22PE without any problem for my aprox 120 drivers.

Ordered list
Driver setup
Wait
Driver setup
Wait
Driver setup
Wait
Driver set-up
Wait
Driver setup.
Etc.....

No problem up until now and NO they can’'t be merged

I use the option to remove drivers from unused locomotives, or however it's worded. This will reduce the number of drivers you have on your route to only those you've assigned schedules to. The option is redundant because we can add in drivers as we need them and assign them to any locomotive sitting in the engine house or on the ready track.

Understood however the ones without commands are work in progress.
I have yet to add commands from a previous driver set up.
