Montana Rail Link 1.5 session details

Sorry I haven't been too active these past few weeks and sessions. My computer is on her last legs as of now and i have her limping along. But I should be getting a new one in a few weeks. But also my hours at work have changed and I have been working all most every day, getting odd days off. Which is good since I'll need the cash for a that new computer. But not too worry, all my stuff is backed up at least three times on my external hard drive and I have a back up on a flash drive.

I managed to run a short session as a listen server the other evening just to see if anyone could 'see' it and connect. I believe Trainlover 16 was able to connect. I've no idea how many drivers I can host (my line is only 2.5mb as I live in Dark Age Canada) and still play myself although between 4 and 6 might be optimum (I could often get 10 players on a co-op IL2 server back in the day). Anyway, if there is a spot or spots open, drivers welcome; be aware I don't use TS/Vent/RogerWilco as text seems fine. :)

I suppose I should chime in here seeing it's been a while since I've been in here. I've had a lot going on here lately and have not been able to get into a session in a few weeks... Hope to be here this week.

I'd say you should get a mic to run as it is easier to listen and speak than it is for everyone else to try to type and read but I think I'm going to let jib or Beattie give the official answer to this.

I am going to agree with Darrin on this one. I would recommend getting a mic in the future but for this friday I don't mind.

Okay. Oh! I just remembered I might have a mic somewhere, but i will have to see if it still works.

EDIT
When I am downloading Team Speak, what selections do I need to choose?
Team Speak 1,2, or 3?
Client or Server?
gamed!de or 4Netplayers?

I don't want to accidentally download the wrong thing.

You should download teamspeak 3 now if your computer is 32bit or 64 download which one you need. Client version

Okay, then I will have to find a way to test the headset. I have never used a headset with my new computer so this should be interesting.

EDIT
Hooray! My dinosaur headset still works!:D
I also have TeamSpeak downloaded.
What time is this Friday's session?

I have this Friday off, so if we have a session I will see if I cant get in. My computer is on her last legs as is. But I have made some major changes to my whole network set up and might have better luck. Part of the problem is my network card is starting to go on this computer, amongst other parts.

Its normally Beattie that hosts sessions, not I. But if he is unable to do it you can take a shot at it. But right now shadow-d has a session up and running and I am plying around in it. Hes not in the session, but Im treating it as a fun run.

Shadow-D is actually Darrin-N., They changed his name for him. He put the server up this morning so he could install and test on my system but it is taking longer to download the maps and deps...

Im going to put up a little Fun Run for the day. Just because I can with my new computer. But between 10am and 6pm I will not be there. Join if you like and have fun, get a feel for the route, explore, or even "switch" out industries. (Just spot cars at buildings and use the instant load/unload commands.)

LOL I was going to do the same thing today so that I can get my Father's game up and running. My hope is that I can get him into the game tomorrow night.

I think I will still start a "Fun Run" as well, only because it will be sometime between 5 and 7 that I am able to get to his place. I might do the same thing as the other day and leave it up till tomorrow morning sometime.

Not trying to take away from Jib. Use his today then when he turns off his server later join mine. I will not be around till around 9 or 10 tonight. I wish there was a way one could remotely admin the game...
