Whitepass made a CN Boxcab and it's compatible with Trainz 12. It's pretty large: 7.19MB, plus another 3.35MB for the bogey. But then again, PWeiser's got a nice variety of electrics. Looking at his content on the DLS, his EP-1, 'Freelance BLW Traction Locomotive [Type 2]', and 'Freelance GE Traction Locomotive [Type 2]' might work. All these have four axles, so these should work well on your recent model railroadz.

I couldn't do a 'garden railroadz' because of where my house it located. I literally live at the bottom of a mountain. In fact, the highest point on our property is actually higher than the top of our house, which is two-stories. In fact, if you stand at that point, you can see across the road in front of our house and over into the neighbor's yard. If there was a way to give you a view from there, I would.

Yes, I've come across those. There are also a couple of very nice L&PS boxcabs.

One of the issues with the tight curves on the layout is that it makes a pantograph a necessity. Trolley poles look slightly ridiculous because they don't track the overhead wire; otherwise I'd certainly be using the wonderfully weathered four axle locomotives by "sniper297", for example, "Downtown Traction GE Loco 3."

Oh! *That's* why you wanted the S-Motor with a pantograph (g) .

Yes, indeed. But it took me a good half hour to work out how to match the pantograph height to the overhead wire.

Also getting very close to completion (best watched full screen and in HD):

The layout depicts a short line electric traction railroad serving several interdependent industries.

The industries include a lumber mill, a furniture factory, a grain mill, a commercial bakery, a paint and solvent factory, a metal can and container factory, and a coal fired electricity plant.

The lumber mill produces timber for the furniture works, and crates and pallets for the bakery, the metal can factory and the paint factory. Some of the metal cans are used by the paint factory. Milled grains are used by the bakery.

Boxcars, gondolas, hoppers and tank cars arrive by a ferry barge.

A Class 1 railroad also has running rights.

The layout is textured to have a similar appearance to my other model trainz layouts -- that is, a grim, grimy, decaying smoke stack USA atmosphere.

Just a thought, not sure if you've tried it. I believe the 'ferry' barge is essentially a 'reverser'/'transfer table'?

In theory, you could use this as a form of 'cassette' unit, connecting to an 'off layout' storage yard, allowing you to switch in or out vehicles off the layout

Just a random thought I had when I say it on the edge of the layout.

I wanted to expand so I made an hole in the wall

The other room with the hole visible for 3 tracks, buildings are put between the walls to make the remaining space look less empty.

Use the spline version of that wall and move it a few meters above ground so a gap jumps into existence below it.

As you can see from the lines this well be the table for the lay out
I also have a garage which is 9 mtrs by 6 mtrs
But the hobby room well be the first just to see
how it all goes
I am going to be using JUST JR

I am un sure what roading I well use so if you have advice please give
but from here I am not sure what to do next

I have downloaded some very good model layouts and have made a copy of them
then I took them apart just to see how it was done
Sorry about that but it seem to be the only way to learn how it all fits togeather

Chris, good luck on your venture! If I may make one suggestion before you get too far into the building process... If that is all the larger your room is going to be, I suggest placing it closer to the center of the baseboard. This will allow you room on the two walls next to the baseboard edge to place buildings and other scenery objects that may need to be "hidden" partially behind a wall/backdrop. I usually leave at least 2full grid boxes between my walls and the edge of the baseboard, or maybe more if I expect a large industry with a big building that will need extra space to be mostly hidden. Keep us informed of your progress, and good luck!

Decided to redo my old line of the Vale of Penwal/Vest Pocket 2mm gauge railway:

The old place needs a bit of sprucing up(and waterproofing I didn't put a ceiling on it yet) but it's got interactive stations and PL ballast industries that work with the Ffestiniog granite hoppers. It's got a great little bit of operating potential for such a little line, and is certainly one of the best 1950s layouts I've ever seen.
