Missing water

Ok so after a month or so hiatus, I returned to TRS09 and now I have no water! The areas that should have water are just giant holes however if i pan into them with the free roaming camera once im at the floor i get the murky visuals and the water sound. Is there like a base file that is corrupt?

geforce 8800 gts, water used to work, i loaded a map that had blue-ish water that appeared in it, it appears the water that isnt showing up is a tan/ yellow color

Joseph45f: When I first got my 2009, I could not get any water..Now after I installed a new Video card GForce 9400 it was there..So you might want to check that..And oh, I also had to download new Drivers..

i have water, just not a certain shade, plus its disappeared after doing nothing to my system such as software updates etc

Create a new route and place some water. This will determine if there's some kind of data corruption with your route. I had the same problem, and with the help of Zec at the helpdesk, this is what we determined had happened.

To repair the problem, merge your route into a new one. A blank baseboard will do.

Good luck,

John

Well I founf the problem but think I caused another one. I loaded the water-less routes in surveyor, and found that if i changed the type of water, under world, from choppy to calm etc, the water would appear. However when I went to save the changes now the routes wont show up in driver, only surveyor with a [C] next to them, and all my sessions for them are gone as well, plus in CMP they show up as me as the author, geez all i did was switch the water type!

<bump> in the interest of trying to find an easy solution instead of re-downloading four routes all over again

Open your route(s) for edit in CM2 and then right click on them again, from the menu that appears click 'edit' and then from the sub menu click 'revert' This should put them back as they were before you made changes

I had water trouble (!) a couple of years ago.

My sea areas didn't totally disappear, but went into a flat facet type appearance rather than wavy.

It was solved through changing the Configure Trainz - Display Settings - from Open GL to DirectX.

Obviously not the same symptoms, but might be worth trying the change before embarking on anything too drastic.

Cheers

Well it appears that the issue lies in the water setting under (world) in surveyor, when set to "choppy" i get no water, and when I switch it to anything else the water reappears.

Also I just went into CMP and under edit, revert is greyed out.
