missing controls in driver

when loading Driver in trainz 2006 I find that the control panel normally found at top right of screen is missing I am therefore unable to control speeds etc when loading/unloading .I can give commands by clicking on the driver but from there on i'm stuck,ive tried pressing all the buttons suggested but to no avail.can anyone help please?

I've had this happen before (usually after a fatal error or using QuickDrive - you may need to do a database repair (To do this, go into the Trainz folder, delete assets.tdx and assets.bku (which should be in the Cache folder, if it is not present don't worry), then re-load Trainz (warning: Trainz will take a while to load)

Tried it Shane still no go,hope i dont have to re install again i've loads of locos and other objects to reload,takes eons :'(

Just out of interest, which method are you using to go into driver? (From the main menu or QuickDrive)

I've tried both and get same result,in addition I just loaded 2006 on my other lappy and the same fault is occurring??

Sounds like a possible faulty asset to me - do you have a previous version of the route to test this? If not you will need to use the search box in Content Manager to search for 'Faulty' (This is an option on the drop-down box) - it may be that a session rule (Custom HUD etc) could be causing a problem, or it may be working in Cab mode.

Are you installing TRS2006 and having this problem or has it worked before?
Remember if you are installing TRS2006 and then patching to SP1 you cannot run TRS2006 at all between the install and patching. This can cause all kinds of graphic problems.

I agree with wreeder (William) - if you are installing SP1, it must be done as soon as you have installed TRS2006, not after running it for the first time.

Unfortunately, if this is not followed, a re-install of TRS2006 is required.

The problem started with a stack dump where certain loco's I have were conflicting in some way with driver,i removed them and found that only certain ones were compatable .this is strange as the whole of my fleet was working perfectly prior to this!!
