Simply put, a young newbie joined the forum to say his ideas for future train events. But instead of learning about how to make them more realistic, he continued to spam these ideas across the forum like a personal chatroom. 'Nuff said, and he is fortunately (and deservedly) banned.

As for the 261 itself, there has been no news lately. The 261 is likely to be heading back to Green Bay (or maybe some new place), while the Friends of the 261, now named the "Railroading Heritage of Midwest America" is working out contracts for a new engine to rebuild. There are theories, but it's best to just wait for the announcement at this point

We all know that you thunder clap. :hehe: We're just pondering where she should could go, if someone would want to keep her running. And if you say Strasburg, I'll report you and strike you with lightning. :hehe: Kidding.

YEA jerry jacbson OF THE OHIO CENTRAL should bought the 261 and restore and run it on his ohio central lines and sit in his age of steam roundhouse.

If you knew anything about Jerry Jacobson, you would know that he and his crew are very busy building their new roundhouse. Even when that is finished, they will be busy with keeping 4-6-2 1293 and 2-8-0 #33 in an operational status. Then they will be busy with the complete rebuild of NKP 2-8-4 763. Then they will be busy fixing GTW 6325. Then they have six other steam engines that they would like to restore. Needless to say, they have plenty of projects that they can take care of, and the 261 is not part of them. In fact, if the group bought 261, it would likely hinder their capiabilities to restore another many other engines. I'd rather see the Age of Steam Roundhouse restore 1278, 96 and #3 instead of putting all their efforts into 261.

dpfan1, we ask that you just comply to our one request: THINK
