- Mexico - Ferrocarril de Altas Montañas (FdAM)

Any updates on the FdeAM, Flusi? Looking forward to hearing more about your progress on this stunning route!
Well, no, not really right now. I've halted the progress for now. I planned to do the second part different than the Atlantic coast, so no coastal forests but rather barren landscapes. Picture Peru, Bolivia and such. Also been flying around in the Sim quite a lot in these areas, so here's what i'll try to go for:

I am not yet sure on what assets to use however. Also, we're starting to have issues with the Trainz memory leak over time now. The route runs fine and with high FPS for like 30 minutes, then they start to degrade over time until it's unplayable. I've already deleted all assets in the affected areas, changed around vegetation and all so i'm 100% sure at this point this is a game issue, not caused by objects or asset density. I've seen a post around here mentioned this exact issue as well recently. Until this is beeing adressed / fixed, the route is undrivable - it takes hours and by the time you arrive anywhere the frames have gone to hell

Huh, that is a major issue. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. I look forward to future progress once it starts happening again, this is a very inspiring route, and I love coming back and just looking at the pictures from time to time.

Out of curiousity what grass splines are you using?
That would be the famous Forest Grass series ones by bbf11 lol. Especially <kuid:173000:37195> Forest Grass 05 20x20m

BTW Guys: THIS is the Memory Leakage / Stutter issue i am dealing with. It always happens on this route now, after some time. RAM usage keeps increasing up to about 27GB, at which point it starts to lag every 1-2 seconds, as seen in the video, and becomes unplayable. Up to that point, which will occur at about 30-60mins ingame, everything is buttery smooth.

Also, i've just had enough about Vaqueria Siding and its highway crossing going right through it. So, here's a bridge. Meeting trains no longer block highway traffic

Here's the abominable excuse of a crossing we had before, for comparison...

Here we have a cement plant near km 139 on the Pacific Sub, and the adjacent WIP Canyon grade down 1.3% to the level ground around the lake. As said before, the western shores are way more arid than the hills down to the Gulf. No Rainforests to see here anymore, they are about 80km away by now

Not really the point lol, especially since i already said that it DOES run completely stutter free, buttery smooth for a while and only once it hits 27GB (which is already ridiculously high) this starts 😂

I think i may even found a solution, but i'll have to keep testing for now
yeah, but I do run rail sims for an extensive amount of time too, which ends up with something doing the jitterbug, I'm curious about the solution, too
